H. Childs, of Route 2, Muncie, In-
diana, and a son-in-law of Mr. and
Mrs. H. T Mass, of Meridian, has
graduated from the training course
for United States Air Force na-
vigator-bombardiers at Mathew Air
Force Base in California.
Mrs. Childs is the former Miss
Karin Bass.
lieutenant Childs, a graduate of
Center High Schbol at Selma, In-
diana, will be given specialized
aircrew training prior to reporting
to Carswell Air Force Base at
Fort Worth for duty.
The lieutenant received his
Bachelor of Science Degree from
Ball State College and was com-
missioned upon completion of the
Air Force Officer Training Corps
Program.

Grandson Of Local Ladies Is Married
In Fredericksburg Methodist Church
At 7:00 P.M. Saturday, November 28
At 7:00 o’clock on Saturday night
November 28, the marriage of Miss
Rebecca Iynette Hohmann and Mr.
Jan Arlen Homerstad was solemn-
ized at the Edison Street Metho-
dist Church in Fredericksburg,
with Dr. Clifford Edge officiating
during the nuptial rites.
The bride is a daughter of Mrs.
Edward Hohmann, of Fredericks-
burg, and the late Mr. Hohmann,
and the groom is a son of Mrs.
Arnold Homerstad, of Austin, and
the late Mr. Homerstad. He also
is a grandson of Mrs. John Homer-
stad and Mrs. Otis Hoff, of Clifton.
During the ceremony Mrs. Edge
played “Traumerei” and ’’Whither
Thou Goest.” She also accompan-
ied Mr. Lester Frantzen, vocalist,
when he sang “O Perfect Love”
and “The Lord's Prayer.”
The church was beautifully de-
corated with aisle candelabra ind
baskets of white chrysanthemums
against a background of greenery
and candelabra.
Mr. Edward Marschail gave bis
niece in marriage. She wore a
gown of whispering taffeta trim-1
med with hand-clipped imported
French lace. Her sabrina neckline
was scalloped in the lace pattern
on the empire bodice and re-em-
broidered in tiny seed pearls and
iridiscent paillettes, and her long
sleeves tapered to petal points at
the wrists The full skirt of taffe-
ta was overlaid through the back
with a deep insert panel of lace
forming a chapel train, and the
bouffant veil of imported illusion
was embroidered in tiny seed
pearls and attached to a crown
which was enhanced with pears and
iridescent paillettes. She cart led
her mother’s bridal prayer book
topped with white orchids and a
shower of lilies of the valley.
Mrs. Charles Humes was her sis-
ter's matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Mrs. Neill Coble, a sister of
the groom, and Mrs. Curtis Mol-
denhauer. They were attired in
green peau de soie fashioned with
empire waistlines, scoop necklines
and floor-length skirts, the bark
panel of each extending into
train. They also wore matching
headpieces composed of three

bouquets of white gardenias and
yellow roses.
Best man to the groom was Mr.
Roger Neubauen, of Seattle, Wash
ington. Groomsmen were Messrs.
Charles Humes, of New Orleans,
and Harlan Winter, of Austin, and
ushers were Messrs. Richard Mad-
den, of Austin, Norman Littleton,
of Marshall, and E. L. Hohmann,
of Fredericksburg.
For her daughter's wedding the
bride’s mother wore a dress of
blue brocade with matching ac-
cessories and a pink orchid corsage.
The groom’s mother was attired
in a mink-colored brown silk dress
with matching accessories and a
brown-flecked green orchid cor-
sage.
Reception Follow*
Following the wedding a recept-
ion was held in the Community
Savings Center Hall at Fredericks-
burg The registration table was
laid with white net over satin and
held the bride’s portrait.
During the reception decor of
the bride’s table featured white
net over satin and an arrangement
of smilax. white spider chrysan-
themums, yellow roses, and silver
candelabra. The tiered white wed-
ding cake was topped with a white
orchid and yellow roses.
The groom's table, laid with net
over moss green satin, was en-
hanced with brass candelabra and
red Happiness roses.
At Home in Now Orleans
When the couple left for their
wedding trip, the bride wore a
red wool jacket dress. They pre-
sently are at home at 6001 Down
man Road in New Orleans, Louis-
iana.
A graduate of Fredericksburg
High School, Mrs. Homerstad at-
tended Texas Lutheran College
in Seguin where she was a mem-
ber of Sigma Tau Sorority. She
now is employed with the Boeing
Company at New Orleans.
Mr. Homerstad graduated from
Travis High School in Austin and
The University of Texas in Austin
where he received a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Mechanical En-
gineering. At the present time he
also is an employee of the Boeing
Company in New Orleans.
Given Rehearsal Supper
A rehearsal supper was given by
the groom's mother on Friday
night, November 27, at Andy's Din-
er in Fredericksburg, at which
time the guest list included the
immediate families o fthe bride
and groom and the members of
their wedding party.

N. Foster, Mrs. Robert Willraann,
and Mrs. Louis Thiele, 4-H Adult
Leaders, will begin a new 4-H Sew-
ing Class at 9:00 AM at the City
Hall in Clifton, for all girls be-
tween 9-21 who are interested.
Walnut Springs HD Club
Hosts Doc tmbor Mooting
The Walnut Springs Home De-
monstration Club Members were
hostesses to the forty-three women
from the Iredell, Town and Coun-
try, and Walnut Springs Homemak-
ing Department^ with Mrs. Hannah
Belcher, REA Home Economist as
guest speaker. Mrs. Belcher show-
ed three films on Indoor Christ-
mas Lighting, outdoor Christmas
Lighting, and Safety at Christmas
Time. Club Members who attend-
ed from the Iredell Club were: W.
A. Hensley, LaVerne Low, Lorene
I-evit, Jack Sanders, Ruth Fillin-
gim, Cecil Parson, A. D. Woody,
Lora Martin, Noia Wingren, Fan-
