Wedding announcements may
be accompanied by a
photograph if they are brought
to The News-Telegram within
six weeks after the wedding. A
good 5x7 or 8x10 portrait of the
couple or bride is perferred.
Photographs submitted after the
six week deadline will not be
published, and the wedding an-
nouncement may be shortened.
Poor quality photographs cannot
be used.
All wedding photographs are
kept on file in the newsroom,
where they may be picked up
the Monday after publication.
Photos must be reclaimed within
three weeks after publication.
Out of town photos must be ac-
companied with a self-addressed
stamped envelope.

High senior, was honored with a
graduation party Friday, May 11, at
Ken’s Pizza.
Hosts and hostesses for the event
were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Armstrong
and Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Newton.

Adams, Jennifer Hudnall, Patsy
Vaden, Nicki Harred and Richard

Kristi Jones was honored with a
graduation brunch on Saturday
morning. May 12, in the home of
Dr. and Mrs. Claude Reynolds.
Serving as co-hostesses were Mrs.
Dan Phillips and her daughter,
Sharon.
A basket of blue and gold
flowers, with blue and gold bal-
loons, were used as a centerpiece.
The menu consisted of spicy ham
and cheese pudding, fresh ffuit,
banana bread, blueberry muffins,
cranberry-peach cooler, milk and
coffee.

The Capt. David Philips Chapter
of the Daughters of the American
Revolution met Saturday, May 12,
in the community room of Sulphur
Springs State Bank with Mary
Vance, regent, presiding.
Mrs. Vance opened the meeting
with the observance of ritual.
Valeta Jobe assisted as chaplain.
Virginia Clifton led the pledge to
the flag of the United States and in
the unison reading of the
American’s creed.
Mrs. Duval McCain, secretory,
read the minutes of the previous
meeting. They were approved as
read.
A report on the recent activities
in national defense was given by
Mrs. W.S. Long.
Mrs. Fral E. Davis, delegate to
the Continental Congress in
Washington. D.C., in April, gave a
report on the event and the many
unusual and interesting glimpses
into the national figures present.
Davis reported on the President
General's entrance, the presentation
of the immense national emblem,
the concert by the U.S. Marine
Corps Band and the last banquet

be ready to serve as a good
Samaritan and a patriotic citizen.
She was given a standing ovation
for her devotion and attention to
duty during her term of office.

Mrs. Kenneth Brice during which
the officers for the 1990-91 and
1991-92 terms were installed. They

secretary; Mrs. Roger Plummer Jr.,

by using a set of antique blue crys-
tal dishes.

Guests enjoyed a Mexican lunch.

day, May 9.

place of each guest.
After enjoying grilled hambur-
gers, chips, “graduation” cake and
soft drinks, the girls played several
exciting games from their “youn-
ger” years.
