Mrs. Margaret Brinker
Dillingham, 94, died at 2:40
P-m. Sunday in a Shreveport,
La., hospital. She was a long-
time Commerce citizen who
moved to Shreveport in 1963.
She was born March 16,1885
in Sulphur Springs, daughter of
William E. and Sarah A. Jones
Brinker. She was married to
Dick Dillingham on Dec. 24,
1905 in Sulphur Springs. He
preceded her in death Nov. 14,
1963.
She was a member of First
Christian Church in Commerce.
She received her early
education in the Sulphur
Springs public schools. She
later attended Sullivan College
in Virginia and Sacred Heart
Convent in St. Louis.
Survivors include a son, D. D.
Dillingham Jr. of Shreveport,
La.
W. Y. Goff Funeral Home of
Commerce is in charge of
arrangements.
Hazelle Stirling
Mrs. Hazelle Stirling, widow
of Dr. Earl Stirling, died at
10:20 p.m. Saturday in Sulphur
Springs.
She was bom Oct. 30, 1890 in
Leesburg, daughter of Henry
and Ida Hopkins. She spent her
early years in Pittsburg. She
attended Jeff Davis College in
Waxahachie.
Mrs. Stirling was former
district chairman of the Junior
Federation of Women’s Clubs.
She was a member of the
Hopkins-Franklin Medical
Auxiliary, Waverly Club, City
Cemetery Society and First
Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons,
Dr. Earl Hopkins Stirling of
Galveston and retired Navy
Commander Harold Carl
Stirling of Velsais, Wash.; two
grandsons, James Hargrove
Stirling of Vuda and William
Prosser Stirling of Boulogne-
Villancount, France; and two
great-grandsons.
Funeral services were held at
3 p.iri. Tuesday at Tapp Funeral
Home, with die Rev. Finis
Hodges officiating. Burial was
in City Cemetery, with Jack
Gillis, Gerald Prim, Wilson

Frank Horton, 96, of 13333
Jefferson died at 7:35 am.
Saturday at Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Horton was born July 12,
1883 in Illinois to Joseph and
Lucinda Isley Horton. He
married Elsie May Qubb iq
Illinois on Jan. 10, 1913. She
preceded him in death.
He was a member of the
Baptist church and had been a
resident of Hopkins County
since 1929. He was a retired
farmer.
Services for Mr. Horton were
held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the
Murray-Orwosky Chapel with
the Rev. Larry Jordan of-
ficiating. Burial was in the
Weaver Cemetery.
Survivors include four sons,
Carroll Horton of McCamey,
Kenneth Horton of Sulphur
Springs, Dudley Horton of
Pickton and Duke Horton of
Hayward, Calif.; two

He was preceded in death by

Mr. Morris married Minnie

Burial was in City Cemetery.

Felkner, 56, of Route 1, Dike
were held at 2 pm. Sunday in
the Murray-Orwosky Chapel
with the Rev. Roger Ayres and

Nelta Cemetery.
Mr. Felkner, who had lived at
Dike for the past seven years,
died at 2 pm. Friday in the
Veterans Administration
Hospital in Dallas.
He was born Aug. 16,1923 in
Waco to Oren Clay and Eula
Christine Beadles Felkner.
Mr. Felkner married Modene
Harred in Waco on Dec. 14,1942.
He was a member of the
Independence Baptist Church,
Woodmen of the World Camp 21
and die Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post 8560. He had been a
dairyman for the past seven
years and had previously
Worked for Par-Gas.
Survivors include his father,
of Austin; his wife; a son, David
Felkner of Hurst; two
daughters, Mrs. Diane
Kongamach of Commerce and
Mrs. Donna Woolsey of Bir-
thright; a brother, Oren
Felkner Jr. of Waco; five

Lonnie A. Kincaid, 79, of

Thursday afternoon following 2

Mr. Kincaid died at 7:15 a.m.
Wednesday in the Wood County
Central Hospital.
He was born Oct. 3, 1900 in
Tennessee to Thomas and
Laura Kincaid. He married
Daisy Fouse in Sulphur Springs
in 1919. He was a member of the
Baptist church. He was retired
from the Dallas school system.
Survivors include his wife;

Holstein heifer. Greg Martin
placed third with his Holstein
cow.

Camps.” The guide lists various
pertinent information about
camps, summer through all
year-round, in all states and

JUDGE JIM Thompson of
Paris held pre-trials in 62nd
District Court in Sulphur
Springs Monday and then
canceled the call for a jury
panel which had been alerted
fa possible duty Tuesday. The
civil cases on the docket fa the
week requiring juries were
either settled a continued.
JOHN STARKEY, son of Dr.
Maurice Starkey of Sulpha
Springs, has earned a position
on the Dean’s List at ETSU for
the fall semester.

Megan Lea. She was born Jan.
11 in Manorial Hospital. She

that he was tossing his hat into
the ring for County Com-
missioner of Precinct 3. He
formerly held the job. Mervin

under appointment following
foe resignation of Gene Tanton,
and Leonard Massey have
announced fa foe position.
RAYMOND JOHNSON has
been elected chairman of the
newly organised Hopkins
County Tax Appraisal District.
Ed Allen is vice chairman and
Joe Bob Burgin secretary.
Other members are G. V.
Hughes and P. J. Ponder. At
their organizational meeting
last week, the board members
agreed to meet again Friday,
Feb. 1. At that time they are
expected to determine a regular
meeting schedule.
Public Notice
Texas Power & Light Company, in accordance
with provisions of the Public Utility Regulatory
Act of Texas, hereby gives notice of the Com-
pany’s intent to implement new schedules of
electrjc service rates in areas served by the
Company, effective February 8, 1980, or as soon
thereafter as permitted by law.
The rate schedules will result in a 15.35 per
cent increase in the gross revenues of Texas
Power & Light Company.
A complete copy of the new- rate schedules i$
on file with the Public Utility Commission at
Austin, Texas, and with each affected munici-
pality, and is available, for inspection in each of
the Company’s public business offices.
