Mr. Morris died at 10:10 p.m.

ty Memorial Hospital following an
extended illness.
He was bom March 4, 1919, in

Sr. and Lillian Nalley Morris.
He married Christine Snow in Dal-
las on Jan. 19,1967. She survives.
Mr. Morris was a retired self-
employed cabinet maker. He was a
member of First Baptist Church and
the Busy Mens Bible Class of the
v church.
He had resided in Sulphur Springs
since 1981, and was previously a
v longtime resident of Fort Worth.

Hubert Crowell, Everet Stovall, Clyde
Hamlin, J.C. Waldon, Truitt Bishop
and Jim Rogers serving as pallbear-

Mr. Daniels died June 2 in Citizens
Hospital in Commerce.
He was bom Dec. 10, 1912, in
Como, to Houston Daniels and Myr-
tle Alexander. He married Aline
Daniels on Jan. 5,1935. She survives.
Mr. Daniels was a mechanic and
farmer. He was retired from a
Chevrolet and Buick dealership. He
was a member of Congregational
Methodist Church in Commerce.
Other survivors include one son,
Billy Wes Daniels of Sulphur
Springs; three grandchildren, Yvonna
Womack, Angie Brown and Amy
Townsend; and five great-grandchil-
dren.
He was preceded in death by his

Delane Wallace, 27, of Riverside,
Calif., were conducted Friday, June 4,
in Mount Zion Baptist Church with

Stacy Phariss, Daron Moore, Brian

Community Hospital in Riverside.
She was bom Aug. 4, 1965, in
Greenville, to Don Fallis and Charlsie
Vaughn.
She was a beautician.
Survivors include her father of
Brashear; her mother, Charlsie Smith
of Spade; one sister, Dawn Phariss of
Lubbock; her grandmother, Lena
Cooper of Garland; and three stepsis-
ters, Shanna Smith of Cumby and
Misty Smith and Renee Campbell,

81, of the Arbala community were
conducted Friday, June 4, in the Tapp
Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Fred
Rister and the Rev. L.B. Morgan offi-
ciating.
Burial was in in the Arbala Ceme-
tery with Johnny Cox, Stan Burkham,
Autry Darden, Glenn Roach, Johnny
Ferguson, Mike Webb and Vic Pon-
der serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Webb died at 2 p.m. Wednes-
day, June 2, at Hopkins County
Memorial Hospital following an
extended Illness.
He was bom Feb. 21, 1912, in
Hopkins County, the son of Coleman
and Dora Drake Webb.
He married Glenna McKeever in
the Union community on Nov. 5,
1933. She survives.
He was a cattleman and a produce
farmer. He was a member of the
Arbala United Methodist Church and
of the Hopkins County Farm Bureau.
Other survivors include two sons,
Marlon Webb of Arbala and Glenn
Webb of Garland; one brother, Crock-
ett Webb of Richland Hills; one sister,
Winnie Adams of San Antonio; two
grandchildren; and one great-grand-
child.

Williams Burchett, 79, of Point were
conducted Saturday, June 5, in Point
Church of Christ with Ray Hunter
and Richard Kellam officiating.
Burial was in Lone Star Cemetery.
Mrs. Burchett died June 2 follow-
ing an extended illness.
She was bom June 10, 1913, in
Alba, to J.W. and Ida Sullivan
Williams.
Mrs. Burchett was raised in Alba
and she attended school there. She
and her husband owned and operated
a laundry in Point from 1945 to 1962.
She had been an active member of the
Church of Christ in Point.
Survivors include her husband,
James Burchett of Sulphur Springs;
three sons, Jimmy L. Burchett and
James Burchett, both of Point, and
Paul D. Burchett of Bismark, N.D.;
one daughter, Sue Moreland of Sul-
phur Springs; 13 grandchildren; three
stepgrandchildren; 23 great-grand-
children; and two great-great-grand-
children.
She was preceded in death by

Ardis D. Sanders
Funeral services for the Rev. Ardis
D. Sanders, 93, were conducted Sat-
urday, June 5, in Muddy Creek Bap-
tist Church in Quitman with the Rev.
W.J. Walker officiating. The Rev.
John W. Williams will be the eulogist.
Burial was in Muddy Creek Ceme-
tery. Pallbearers will be deacons from
Muddy Creek Baptist Church and St.
John Baptist Church, both of Quit-
man, and Pleasant Hill Baptist
Church in Sulphur Springs.
The Rev. Sanders died Tuesday at a
Quitman Nursing Center, following a
brief illness.
He was bora May 20, 1900, to
Samuel and Rebecca Sanders in the
Strickland Springs Community, near
Waskom. He married Lillie V. King
in 1928. She preceded him in death.
The Rev. Sanders received his for-
mal education in the Pine Hill
Schools of Waskom. He later attend-
ed Bishop College in Marshall and
Prairie View A&M University. He
and his wife taught in the Muddy
Creek Community for more than 10
years and he served as principal. He
later became principal of W.B. Clark
High School in Quitman. He also
served as pastor of several area
churches.
Survivors include three brothers,
George Sanders of Fort Wayne, Ind.,
Henry Sanders of Marshall and Lynn
Sanders of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters,
Effie Sanders Kemp of Quitman and
Georia Reeves of Mount Olive, Miss.
He was also preceded in death by
two brothers, Clarence W. Sanders
and Samuel Sanders Jr.
H.P. Hill Jr.
Funeral services for H.P. Hill Jr.,
68, of Sulphur Springs were conduct-
ed at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 7, in
Tapp Funeral Chapel with the Rev.
Garry Jordan officiating.
Burial was in Mount Sterling
Cemetery.
Mr. Hill died at 9:45 p.m. Friday,
June 4, in Hopkins County Memorial
Hospital.
He was bom May 6,1925, in Tale,
to Henry P. and Ozzie Chance Hill.
He married Mattie Lee Hooten on
April 27, 1950, in Sulphur Springs.
She survives.
Mr. Hill was a retired employee of
the Meal-A-Day Center. He was a
member of the Baptist church and
was an Army veteran of World War
II.
Other survivors include three sons,
Clifford Ray Hill and William Earl
Hill, both of Sulphur Springs, and
Loyd Nolan Hill of Grand Prairie;
two daughters, Sarah Alice Farmer of
Sulphur Springs and Pamela Caviness
of Irving; and four grandchildren.

Williams, 70, of Sulphur Springs
were conducted Sunday, June 6, in
Tapp Funeral Home with Dr. David
Haidage officiating.
Burial was in Sulphur Springs City
Cemetery with Buford Jones, Ray
Julian, Eugene Edwards, David Jones,
Ricky Landers and Larry Coke serv-
ing as pallbearers. Honorary pallbear-
ers were Dr. Tom Bell, Bobby Put-
man and Otis Calhoun.
Mrs. Williams died at 7:24 p.m.
Thursday, June 3, in Baylor Universi-
ty Medical Center following an
extended illness.
She was bom May 11, 1923, in
Brinker, to O.P. and Frances Thomp-
son Kent. She married James E.
Williams Feb. 7, 1948, in Mount
Pleasant. He survives.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker
and a former employee of First
National Bank in Houston and Kraft
Foods.
Other survivors include one son,
Roger Kent Williams of Kimberling
City, Mo.; two brothers, O. Phillip
Kent of Bartlesville, Okla., and Lloyd
Willet of Houston; and two grandchil-
dren, Zack and Erica Williams.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and several brothers and sis-
ters, including Coyce N. Kent.

Mrs. Raymond died Sunday, June
6.
She was a member of the Forest
Lawn Baptist Church of Balch
Springs.

and Dicey Gilbert of Paris; one sister. Employee of the Year award from the
Mary Kay Bums of Miller Grove and Texas Employment Commission in
Iowa, the son of Barry and Rose Lee
Kirk Gramly.
He married Ina Vivian Johnson.
She preceded him in death in 1985.
Mr. Gramly was a retired meat
packing plant employee, a member of
the Baptist church, and served with
the U.S. Army in World War II.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth
Gramly of Mesquite; one stepson,
Harold Lindsey of DeSoto; one step-
daughter, Annie L. Stringfield of
Frisco; one brother, M.A. Gramly of
Cedar Creek Lake; one sister, Meta
Schneiderjan of Dallas; and two
grandchildren.

phur Springs.

Kaci Hill, both of Sulphur Springs;
his grandparents, Mauddell Hill of

Funeral Home in Deport with Dean

Mrs. Wright died Tuesday, June 8,
in a Terrell hospital.
She was bom Aug. 9, 1903, in
Wolfe City, the daughter of William
Henry and Martha Goodrich Barnes.
She married George Wright on
July 1, 1922, in Deport. He preceded
her in death in 1974.
Survivors include a son, A.L.
Wright of Terrell; two daughters,
Dorothy Minter of Como and Mil-
dred Rodgers of Paris; two sisters,
Mrs. Bonny Simmons of Dallas and
Mrs. Dessie Wells of Houston; 10

David Bates Jr., 38, were to be con-
ducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at
the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, Miss.,
with Bishop Melvin Blalock officiat-

Mr. Bates died Tuesday, May 1, at
Cherry Street Manor Nursing Home
in Paris following a lengthy illness.
He was bom April 14, 1955 in
Denham Springs, La., a son of
Charles David Bates Sr. and Lois Fay
Jones Bates.
He graduated from Amite School
Center in Liberty in 1973 and
received his associate degree in jour-
nalism from Southwest Mississippi
Junior College in 1976.
He served two years as a mission-
ary fcr the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints in Toulouse,
France, then attended Louisiana State
University for three years.
He joined the Navy and earned a
degree in communications and jour-
nalism through University of New
York.
Mr. Bates was honored by the city
of Dallas for his work on several
committees devoted to helping the
homeless. He was also a member of
the Salvation Army and received
honors from the Dallas-area mission.
He performed volunteer work with
the Sulphur Springs district Red
Cross office.
He was the sole recipient of the

Church in Dallas and a charter mem-
ber of Beckham Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wilkins was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her
