InMemoriam
IN MEMORY OF KIM
DICKENS: To know Kim was to
love her. Although she was
confined to a wheelchair for
eight years, never once did I
hear her complain. As her
pastor said, “Kim had a
positive attitude toward life.”
She had a wonderful and
sparkling sense of humor. She
was courage personified. Even
though she had numerous set-
backs physically, she never
gave up the fight to live. She
was cheerful and happy.
Everything that could be done
was done by her family to make
things easier and more com-
fortable for her. She loved to go
places, so they planned places
to go that she would enjoy the
most. My granddaughter,
Robin Sturgeon, was privileged
to go with them on several
occasions, and she will always
treasure the hours they spent
together. Robin spent the night
with Kim this last March, and
the last thing she said to Robin
before they settled down for the
night was, “I love you, Robin.”
I thank God that I was blessed
by having a friend like Kim.
Knowing her has made me a
better person and a stronger,
more understandng Christian.
ONE WHO LOVED HER VERY
MUCH, INEZ BEESON
