Deputies check
evidence from
area burglaries
Hopkins County Sheriff John
E. (Junior) Tittle says his
deputies have been busy
processing some evidence from
recent cases that has turned up
in the last two days.
“We’ve got two bank bags
that were hidden under a bridge
on SH-11 near Commerce,’’
Tittle said, “they came from
the Miller Grove School in a
burglary over the weekend and
we’re processing them for
fingerprints.”
The sheriff said that one bag
had Miller Grove Independent
School District written on it and
the other was a bank bag with
only the name of the bank on it.
The Miller Grove school was
broken into with a loss of about
$300 in cash over the weekend.
Tittle said that some breaks
in recent cases have produced
evidence that is to be checked
for fingerprints. The cases
include a box of silvesware
taken from the Saltillo Com-
munity Cento1 and an in-dash
AM-FM radio and eight track
tape player combination unit
