Of Interest to the Public.
THE CONNEL MAGICAL PAIN EXTRACTOR.
"We take the liberty of presenting to the people the following
list of gentlemen of the highest respectability and standing in socie-
ty who have witnessed personally the wonderful effects of Connel's
Magical Pain Extractor and in all sincerity and candor earnestly
solicit them to use it in their families or see it applied to some of
their suffering neighbors; and if they are then convinced as they as-
suredly will be if they use it or see it used of its extraordinary ef
fects and entire innocency in any case we ask of them to speak of
it should duty and feeling" of humanity prompt them to do so.
Wc assure thrm solemnly that sympathy for human suffering in-
duces at least in part our earnest solicitations that a simple trial
should be made in any affection named below. We think it not im-
pudent or too much lo say that nothing like it or in any degree so
effectual has ever been discovered in medicine externally.
They will please observe it is no "sovereign remedy for all com-
E hunts" but only intended for external applications in the following:
urns scalds frosted parts chilblains chafe chaps tetter pimple
blotch felon ulcer.prains erysipelas cutp bruises ear ana tooth-
iche mumps soro throat whitlows piles ringworm salt rheam

Though We have named numerous affections experience has
taught 11s that they are not too many. Itwill.be necessary to know
that this article is the only one we can recommtnd ; but must cau-
tion against some imitations that we have reason to belie c are of no
use but injurious. We will present it to the poor who have actual
need of it. We may add the names of but a lew gentlemen of the
thousands who have tested its virtnes or witnessed its effects.
Remember it is ConneVs Magical Pain Extractor from

yea rs pas t and during the last two years have been' associated with
him as an officer of this institution. Ihave found him excellently
fitted in all respects to be an instructor of youth. His industry de-
cision and patient good temper qualify him in a high degree asx
governor 0. the young while his accurate scholarship and untiring
zeal render him equally successful as a teacher. In commit imp their
children to the instructional Mr. Ives parents may feel the most
assurance that they are; placing them under the care of one who is
