Our Spring Courts. i being out of the District it so turns out
On Monday Inst the Spring Term tor
this Circuit commenced at Fayette un
dor the recent act altering the lime of
holding the courts in the second Judicial
District.
Krequent inquiries have been made to
us as to tho nature of the change and its
results. A member of the bar here has
furnished us with the following copies of
private correspondence between the legal
firm of which ho is a member and some
of his clients as to the change in the
District; and we publish them in the hope
that they may throw some light upon the
subject leaving the public to form their
own conclusions' in the premises :

Tlio Legislature did then change the
time of holding courts and under this
now arrangement the counties are placed
as follows viz: The court commences on
tho first Monday in March at Fayette
and sits two weeks; Bastro) two weeks;
Oaldwoll two weeks; J lays one week;
"Burnet one week and Travis until busi-
ness is disposed of.
By this it will bo seen that Comal and
Cuadahipe counties are entirely cut off
and our Judicial District thereby great-
ly curtailed.
This however is but a light evil when
compared with tho conflict ot tho courts.
