Th stewards of the Methodist
Church entertained the membership j

large crowd enjoyed the fun, and at
a late hour the guests were served

* THINK? *
* By Edson R. Waite

That the automobilist who is delay-
ed by a bad stretch of road quickly
realizes that the short-sighted policy
of some people is costing him time
and money.
Bad roads are not merely an in-
convenience to a few pepole, but they
mean a loss to all business in the
community.
Good roads save wear and tear on
a car as well as increasing the mil-
eage of every gallon of gasoline con-
sumed.
Many people like to revel in dreams
of ease and comfort, but it always
becomes a necessity to know the facts
ever, when they are rudely disillus-
ioning. There is not much ease and
comfort to be had until a community
has good roads.
Good roads are necessary for both
business and pleasure.
Good roads are abolutely neces-
sary for any program of progress and
achievement.
The best thing you can say about
a community is that it is a commun-
ity that does things. That is the
finest tribute that a city can receive.

sweet and buoyant and full of sunshine.
For they can’t do it. They cnly move the
bowels and a mere movement doesn’t get at
the cause. The reason for your d iwn-and-out
feeling is your liver. It should pttir oat two
pounds ot liquid bile into your newels daily.
If this bile is not flowing freely, your food
doesn’t digest. It just decays in th % bowels.
Gae bloats up your stomach. You have a
thick, bad taste and your breath is foul,

aches and you feel down and out. Your whole

Picnic
The Seniors of Mt. Pleasant High
School went on a picnic Friday after-
noon at the City Lake. They usual-
ly have a banquet, but this year this
class of about sixty-five decided it
was better just to have a picnic. The
faculty was invited, and all left town
about one o’clock. A wonderful din-
ner was spread and all did justice to
the feed. About seventy-five were
present.—Reporter.
