Desdemona News
Several members of our
community attended the post
office meeting last Thursday at
the Desdemona Fire Station.
Our community would like to
keep the post office open regu-
lar hours but no decision has
been made at this time.
Former postmaster Terry
Gibbs, his wife, and daughter
were visiting in Desdemona last
Saturday. Terry is working in a
post office in Hamilton, TX.
Friends of Desdemona
send sincere sympathy to the
families of Ronnie Foreman
and Michael Riggs. Ronnie’s
mother is Geneva (Fewis)
Foreman of Stephenville, and
Michael’s parents are James
and Freda (Fewis) Riggs of
Desdemona. Geneva and Freda
are sisters and lost their sons
only five days apart. Remember
these families with your cards
and prayers.
Visitors last Friday with
Robert and Ima Brown were
their son, Robert Alton Brown,
and their grandson, Preston
Brown, all of Fort Worth. They
came for supper to help Robert
celebrate a birthday. He is “39
and Holding!”

Robert and Ima Brown
were in McKinney on Tuesday
to attend the funeral of their
cousin.
Our great-granddaughter
Taiah Cogbum missed three
days of school with the “Flu
Bug.” She attends kindergarten
in DeLeon.
There is a lot of sickness in
our community at this time.
Some are down with the flu
bug, bronchitis and respiratory
problems.
Please contact this reporter

help will be appreciated.
Thanks and have a good
