BCCFA’s 10th Annual
'Big Event’ To Feature
Diverse Auction Items
'Donations Keep Pouring In...There's Still Time To Give*
CLIFTON - As the 199110th an-
niversary “Big Event Birthday
Bash" for the Boeque County Con-
servatory of Fine Arts nears, county
businesses and residents are trying
to make at least one element of the
affair the best ever—the highly-
popular auctions.
BCCFA officials have reported
that donations are pouring in, and
the items are so diverse that just
about everyone will be able to find
something they’ll be eager to bid on.
Funds raised provide operating
monies for the BCCFA during the
upcoming year.
Said a spokesman for the BCCFA,
“The merchants in Clifton, Meridi-
an, V alley Mills, and Laguna Park
have been most generous in then-
donations of auction items."
“There is still time to donate an
item for the auctions on Saturday
and Sunday (April 6 and 7).. just
call the Conservatory, anytime from
1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through
Thursday. It has been previously
reported that the Conservatory is
open on Friday. At the present time
it is not, but you can leave a mes-
sage on the recorder.”
Some of the items that have come
in during the past two weeks, and
the donors, are:
The BCCFA Theatre: two season
tickets, two dinner theatre show tick
THE BOSQUE COUNTY CHALLENGE:
Bosque County Citizens Urged To
Register For April 13 Cleanup
CLIFTON — Community coordi-
nators for the 1991 Bosque County
Cleanup, set for April 13, have been
announced by Vivian Ender, chair-
man of the Bosque County Exten-
sion Council’s Community
Development Committee.
Ender urges individuals to contact
their nearest community coordina-
tor and register to help “make
Bosque County beautiful."
“You are the most important fac-
tor in a successful cleanup project,"
she emphasized. “Whether you’re a
public official, businessman,
teacher, rancher, organization lead-
er, or concerned citizen, you can in-
itiate and enlist others to help."
Ender explained that a cleanup
campaign benefits the entire com-
munity by enhancing recreation,
creating a feeling of civic pride, sav-
ing money, and changing the com-
munity’s attitude toward littering
habits.
In referring to the event as a
“challenge," Ender added: “Are you
in a group that needs an activity?
Do you have a business that needs
community involvement? Have you
been looking for a rewarding ex-
perience that the entire family can
eiyoy together? Then accept the
‘challenge’—the Bosque County
challenge, by joining the Bosque
County cleanup Saturday, April
13.”
