Zander To Address BCCFA
Photography Club March 26
CLIFTON — Prise-winning pho-
tographer Bobby Sue Zander will
speak on “People Pictures—
Techniques of Portraiture” at its 7
p.m meeting March 20 in the tearoom
at the Conservatory,
All persons interested in photogra-
phy are invited, a club spokesman
said. The club’s various activities in-
clude seminars, exhibits, and field
trips, as well as its regular monthly
meetings. A free darkroom is availa-
ble to those members who wish to
process their own pictures.
Zander said her talk will be geared
to those who “just want to take bet-
ter pictures of family,” as well as to
those with broader goals. She said her
interest in photography began as a
hobby when a friend loaned her a 35
mm camera, without an instruction
book, and told her to “go shoot.”
“After a long time, I made a picture
that I thought was really good,” she
said, “and I got excited and started
reeding and really working at improv-
ing. After while friends started ask
ing me to take photographs of them,
I upgraded my equipment, and my
professional work just grew.”
Persons wishing further informa-
tion about the club are invited to call
the BCCFA office, 675-3724, during
its office hours from 1 to 5 p.m., Mon-
day through Thursday.
