ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED - Mr. and Mrs. Philip
(Peggy) Watts of Clifton announce the engagement and ap-
proaching marriage of their daughter, Dawn, to David
Amundson of Waco, son of Mrs. Helen Amundson of Clif-
ton and Dan Amundson of Galveston. The bride-elect is
currently employed with Bosque County Bank in Meri-
dian. The prospective groom is a Senior Marketing major
at Baylor University and is currently employed by Waco
Athletic and Racquet Club in Waco. The wedding is plann-
ed for May 17, 1986, at 7:30 p.m., in the First United
Methodist Church in Clifton with the Pastor Joe Dahl and
Rev. Johnny Miller officiating. Friends and relatives of the
families are invited to attend.

CLIFTON — Two students at
Texas A&M University from
Clifton recently were recogniz-
ed for their scholastic abilities.
Curtis 0 Rueter. a senior
chemical engineering mayor,
was named to the Dean's Honor
Roll for the fall semester To be
named to this honor roll, a stu-
dent must be registered for 15 or
more semester hours and earn
at least a 3.75 grade point ratio
out of a possible 4 0 during the
most recent grading period.
Monica L. Britt, a freshman
veterinary medicine major, was
named a "Distinguished Stu-
dent," meaning that she is
registered for at least 15
semesters hours and earned at
least a 3.25 grade point ratio out
of a possible 4.0 during the most
recent grading period.

In Clifton At VFW Hall April 8
HILLSBORO - CAUSE, Inc.,
through the cooperation of the
Bosque County Commissioner
Paul Howard, will distribute
USDA commodities in Clifton at
the VFW Hall, on Tuesday,
April 8, from 1-3:30 p.m.
Other distribution will be
made according to the following
schedule:
• Tuesday, April 15 — Meri-
dian at the CAUSE, Inc. Center
from 1-3 p.m.; and in Cranfills
Gap at City Hall from 3:304:30
p.m.
• Tuesday, April 22 —
Morgan at the Community
Center, 1:30-2:30 p.m.; and
Walnut Springs at the Senior
Citizens Center, 34 p.m.
Anyone whose white eligibili-
ty card is dated May 1985 or
before must visit a CAUSE, Inc.
office before April 18,1986 to be
recertified to receive com-
modities during and after May
1986. Persons are asked to bring
proof of family income to the
