SpiUer, Jr Baaeball Complex off
Highway 219 by the Clifton Rodeo
Arena
Game* will begin at 5:90 p.m. on
Friday, July 5, with Boaque County
being in the first game
League official* plan to cook ham
burgers and hot dog* like they did
during the regular eeaaon.
“Please plan to com* watch aom*
good ballgames and etyoy the boat
hamburger* anywhere," eaid a
Boaque spokesman “There will be an
admiseion charge of |1 per adult. All
ichool-age children get in free. Moniea
will be used to pay umpire* and other
tournament expense*.’’

All volunteers will b* greatly ap-
preciated, they indicated.
EYE ON BALL? - When you might get run over
at home plate, it's sometimes hard to keep your
eye on the ball. The action was fast and fttrious
as teams from throughout the area converged on
Freedom Feat to participate in tournament ac-
tion on Saturday, keeping the diamond busy
throughout the day.

Bosque County Little League
Announces ’91 All-Star Teams
CLIFTON - Team* in Bosque
County Little League completed then-
seasons on or before June 22.
All 13 tee-ball teams were
winners—no score or standings are
kept. Mixed teams from Cranfill* Gap
and Iredell participated with girls
teams from Meridian (Henry’s),
Clifton (First Security State Bank and
First National Bank) and Valley
Mills. The all-boye teams were from
Meridian, Valley Mills, and Clifton
(Cliffview, Chemical Lime, Keith
Hardware, and Pill Box).
With at least 12 children on each
team, tee-ball is one of the largest di-
visions.
League officials commented, “We're
proud of all of these children and hope
they’ll continue to play baaeball or
softball for many years to come.’’
The pee wee baseball league had a
north and south division.
First piece in the north we* won by
NCNB Clifton, while the Meridian
Pirates were the second-place team.
The south division was won by
Erickson Feed, with the Valley Mills
Bulldogs second.
Overall first-place team was Erick-
son Feed, while NCNB Clifton placed
second. These two teams represented
BCLL at the PWB tourney hold at
Southern LL in Waco.
The first-place pee-wee softball team
was the Valley Mills Bees, with se-
cond place being David’s of Clifton.
These two teams participated in the
PWSB tourney in Robinaon.
Minor leage baseball was a close
race this year other than first place.
Albrecht's won first place end went
undefeated for the year. American
Legion, Clifton, won a close race for
second. Both teams went to the poet-
season tournament at LaVega. Al-
brecht’s is still playing.
All other divisions pick All-Star
teams and will participate in tourna-
ments beginning July 6.
All-Stars
Little League Softball All-Stars are:
Michelle Barnett, Chrisay Chaney,
Brandy Evans, Mindy Meinkowsky,
and Julie Pareya, from the second-
place American Legion-Clifton team;
Monica Johnson, Cranfills Gap,
Clifton Clinic; Heather Healy, Vera
Harreleon, Jordan- Hicks, Lesley
Johnson, Sarah Layne, Maty Phillips,
Winter Simmons, and Lesley Smith,
first-place VM Flames. Alternate is
HCrystal McLennan of Clifton’s
American Legion team. The tourna-
ment for thse girls is to be held at
Northern LL in Cameron Park.
Little League Baaeball All-Star*
are: Jerod lice, Aaron Jacobs, Chris
Owens, and Justin Owens from the
second-place VM Bears; T.J. Hender-
son, Heath Clawaon, and Zac Ren
dahl, Meridian; and Jason Anz,
Thomas Buck, Zack Crawford, Jere-
my Finney, Clif Kennedy, Stephen
Oliver, and Michael Sadler, from the
firat-place Sandy’s Auto Parts,
Clifton. First alternate is Kyle Nor-
man and second is Damon Kenh, both
of Sandy’s Auto. The tournament will
be held at Lake Air fields next to
Lions Peril.
The Junior League Baseball divi-
sion is made up of teams of 13-yesr-
old boys only. Although the two teams
that won die division had identical
records for the whole season win-loss-
wise, the Clifton team of Foeaett (Ml
won first place by beating Hamilton
more in one-to-one competition.
Junior League All-Stare an: Shel-
don Blackwell, Corey Craddock,
Rocky Galindo, Wee Jones, Lama
Mills, Joe Summers, and Thomas Su
percineki, Hamilton; Wads Canute
son, Jason Harborth, John Kaan,
Tony Olson, Andy Rhodes, and Roger
Ringo, Clifton.
“Boaque County ie very happy to
welcome both Hamilton in our Junker
League Baseball division and Whit-
ney in our Senior League Softball di-
vision,” said a Boaque official. “These
two teams added some good competi-
tion to our league and m hope they’ll
return next year if their leagues don’t
charter with Little League on their
own.”
The Senior League Softball division
was won by the Farmer* Insurance
Group team from Clifton and Valley
Mills. The Whitney team placed
second.
Senior League Softball All-Stars
are: Amy Broom, Shanda Hitt,
Natasha King, Kristi Morris, Caris-
sa Peters, Shanna Swinford, and
Beverly Williams from the Whitney
Lakers West; Deany Eary, Jana Hall,
Stacy McCue, Amber Potter, Kim
Rummel, Betsy Spitter, from Clifton,
and Kara Vardiman, Valley Mills, all
from the Farmers Insurance Group
team.
The Senior League Baseball divi-
sion was won by the Allstate team of
Clifton, second place going to the Val-
ley Mills Mustangs.
Senior League Baseball All-Stars
are: Randy Barnett, Amie Scallion,
Casey Smith, and Jerod Sears, Valley
Mills Mustangs; Curtis Childress,
Jeremy Mitchell, and Matt Newton,
from Bobby Dickens’ Clifton team;
Jerod Anz, Greg Gentry, Adam Foe-
sett, Joeh Golden, Brad Greene, shane
Keeton, and Clay Kennedy, from All-
state Insurance team, Clifton. First
alternate is Robbie Clark and second
alternate is Mark Stenmark, both of
the Allstate team.
The Senior League Baseball Tour-
nament will be held in Clifton and
Robinson.

where in the paper.
