HIGH SCHOOLERS recently visiting the Bosque Memorial
Museum were those in Mary Lou Hughes’ drama class of Clifton
High School. This group during the year demonstrated their act-
ing abilities by advancing from District to Area in UIL one-act
play competition. They won the alternate position at the Area
meeting.

Marcus Jan (Marc) Tyler, 20, a
junior engineering student at Texas
A&M University, was killed late
Wednesday night, June 26, in a one-
car accident west rtf Conroe. He was
a 1989 graduate ofW.T. White High
School with high honors.
He was a two-year varsity football
letterman named to the all-district
academic team both years. His
senior year, he was honored with
the “Most Inspirational Player”
award by hia coaches. He was a
member of the prestigious Mu Al-
pha Theta, a national high school
honorary mathematics club. Also,
he served on Foley’s Teen Board
during 1988-89.
At Texas A&M, he waa a member
of the Sigma Phil Epsilon fraterni-
ty, *where he won the Light
•Heavyweight. Division boxing
championship. His favorite hobby
was fishing, which he enjoyed since
early childhood.
Services were held at Schieber
United Methodist Church on Satur-
day, June 29, at 1 p.m., with inter-
ment at Rest Haven Memorial Park
in Rockwall. The Rev. Charles Neil
and the Rev. Dave Reagan officiate
ed, with Sparkman-HillcrestFuner-
al Home in charge of services.
Survivors include his parents, O.
Jan and Virginia Tyler, Dallas; two
brothers, Michael Tyler, Austi, and
Mitchel Tyler, Dallas; two sisters,
Martha Tyler and Mary iyler, both
of Dallas; grandparents, Ottis and
Alle Mae Tyler of Clifton and Leta
Weatherford of Royse City; and a
special friend, Jo Ann Johnson,
Dallas.
Memorials may be made to Schie-
ber United Methodist Church
Memorial Fund.
