Country, Coach Randy Rowe's 2007 football edition will be featured
in Saturday night's Livingston Christmas Parade through
downtown starting at 6 p.m. All Lion "layers am! coaches must
report at 5 p.m.. The Lion Athletic Booster f .,b is in charge of
the large float.........THE LION BASKETBALL TEAM will
compete in the annual Dayton High School Holiday Classic
Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Lions will face Texas City at 3
p.m. Thursday in Bronco Gym.

FOOTBALL COLLEGE scouts from several states—Arkansas,
New Mexico. Louisiana. Oklahoma and Texas— arc calling or
visiting with Lion Coach Randy Rowe and a number of senior
players. There arc 10 Lions as of today being recruited. This is a
first at Livingston High School. When college scouts started
calling and visiting with the players and coaches, it tells you the
Livingston football is making progress........ THE ALTO HIGH
SCHOOL Yellow Jackets will be in SHSU's Bowers Stadium
(Huntsville) Friday night to battle Granger (12-1) in the state UIL
Class IA Div I semi-finals at 7:30 p.m. Sunray(l0-2) vs. Seymour
(9-3) on Saturday night at Lubbock. The two winners will play for
the state championship week. Coach Keith Gardner's Alto team
won the state title last year. Coach Gardner was assistant at
Corrigan-Camden High School in 1988 when Bulldogs won the
2A title. Coach Gardner is a former all-round athlete of Splcndora
High School........COACH RAY WOODARD AND h.s Navarro
Junior College Bulldogs will be in Mount Pleasant Friday anti
Saturday for the annual Pilgrim's Pride Bowl game Saturday at I p m
in Tiger Stadium. The Bulldogs will battle Georgia Military
Academy Bulldogs. Coach Woodard, a native of Corrigan, played his
college football at Kilgore JC and The University of Texas. He was
an assistant at Livingston a few years ago.

Houston.
The Lion boss also welcomed
several football players to the
team.
The Lions defeated. Houston
Davis. 68 to 65, in amon-district
game.
This was Livingston’s first win
of the season.
Lions will be in Dayton Thurs-
day. Friday and Saturday for the
Dayton Holiday Classic.
Lions will face Texas City at 3
p.m. Thursday afternoon.
