LIVINGSTON - Alfred Cla-
rence Tipton, 81, died Jan. 20, 2007
in Livingston.
Alfred was born in Oakhurst.
Texas on Dec. 22, 1425 to Robert
and Emma Tipton.
He married Opal Fay Gaston
Aug. 10. 1446. Both Fay and their
8-year-okl daughter, Faye Marie,
were killed in an automobile acci-
dent in October, 1457.
Alfred married Neta Bell Boddie
Minter ;>n Dec. 17, 1458. His sons
are Rex Eugene Minter, Truman
Mack Minter and Sherman Collins
Minter.
Alfred spent most of his adult
life working for Windham and
Sons as a foreman doing general
oilfield work which he loved. He
was a dependable, hard-working
employee until he retired in 1486.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, work-
ing in his garden as long as he was
able. He was known as a kind and
loving husband, father and grandfa-
ther
He is survived by his wile, Neta
Bell Tipton of Livingston; sons,
Rex Minter and Truman Minter,
both of Livingston and Sherman
Minter and his wife Judy of Hous-
ton; sister. Jennie Lee Hendricks of
the Big Sandy area; brother, Nolun
Tipton of Livingston; grandchil-
dren, Robin Schiefelbein of Kim-
ball, Minn, and Amy Mayer of
Conroe; great-grandchildren, Caleb
Minter of Brownwood, Luke.
Travis, Andi, Payton, and Luci
