Fall Field Day Oct. 2
This event will be the first ranch
rodeo ever to pay out $50,000 to the
top five-nun team. Approximately
$90,000 in prize money will be paid
out to the top performing teams.
Wails Industries is sponsoring the
event
There are currently 37 teams
entered. The teams are from a
number of different states, with
each having committed to pay
$4,000 per team to enter in this
groundbreaking event Five per-
son teams will be competing either
Thursday or FYiday night with the
top teams from each preliminary
night returning to be one of the
eight “short go” finalists on Satur-
day night
The teams and their perfor-
mances will be highlighted on fu-
ture show episodes airing in
November and December. Events
are sorting, branding, bronc riding,
mugging, and wild cow milking.

CRANFILLS GAP — The 2007
Central Texas Fair Rodeo will be
highlighted in an upcoming new
episode of AU Around Perfor-
mance Horse Weekly airing
Thursday Sept 27, at 3:30 pm and
9:30 p.m., on RFD-TV, said Matt
Wallace..
The same episode can also be
seen on Friday and Sunday morn-
ings at 7:30 am. (All times are for
Central Time zone.)
RFD-TV is found on DISH Net-
work channel 231 and on DirecTV
channel 379. AU Around Perfor-
mance Horse Weekly has been
with RFD-TV for close to two
years, having produced 52 new
episodes during that time. The
snow is produced in Bosque
County by All Around Perfor-
mance Horse TV in conjunction
with Mustang International/
Wallace Sight & Sound Produc-
tions, Inc. based near Cranfills
Gap.

ranch rodeo Oct 4-6, at the Circle
T Arena, just outside of Hamilton.

the family ranch on CR 4290,

is $6. Everyone planning to
attend is requested to regis-
ter before Friday, Sept 28.
Three hours of CEU’s are
available. Registration
starts at 9 am, and a meal
will be served at the conclu-
sion of the tour; compliments
of Dow Range Products and
DuPont Crop Protection.

County Genealogical Meeting
HILLSBORO — Samuel R.
to engrave some historic fire-
arms. He is currently creating
historic commemoratives about
Texas’ grand old county court-
houses. He will provide informa-
tion about W. C. Dodson,
architect of the Hill County
Courthouse. Although born in
Oklahoma, Shortes was raised
in Fbrt Worth and considers him-
self a dedicated Texas historian.
The meeting will be held at
6:30 p.m., in the Hill County
Courthouse Annex Meeting
Room at 126 South Covington
Street in downtown Hillsboro.
Visitors are welcome to attend.
Refreshments will be served
after the meeting and visitation
with the guest speaker is en-
couraged.
