LIVINGSTON- Elementary
school age children and parents are
invited to an open house at the
Murphy Memorial Library from
6 30 to 8:30 p.m on Dec 11.
Storytellers will he reading sto-
nes about the holiday season.
Activities will include several
crafts and word finds that can be
taken home
Refreshments will he provided
and served by the Friends of the
Murphy Memorial Library. Maten-
als will he provided by the Living-
ston Independent School District
and elementary school teachers who
will help with crafts.
Books will be available for
checkout if the child or parent has
a library card. Library cads can be
applied for with a $5 annual fee per
person for a new card or to update
current cards for out of city limits
residents only. There is no charge
for city residents
Elementary grades 3 and 4 stu-
dents are urged to attend and parents
are invited to stay and enjoy the
open house.

division. Her essay was entitled
Happy Thanksgiving. Leggett ISD
has set the date for the Annual Leg-
gett Homecoming to take place on
Saturday, Jan 6, 2001.
Ann Kerr visited two weeks with
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tomlinson and
family at Country Sunrise. She
also visited with granddaughter
Shannon Tomlinson of Stephen-
ville who attends Tarieton State
University.

ing/Rehab Center residents and staff
attended the Celebrate Christmas

dents enjoyed a hot chocolate so-

each resident. The residents and staff
have begun decorating for Christ-
mas and enjoyed an egg nog and
cookie social Activity Director
Donna Cockrell extended thanks to
all of the staff for decorating each
resident's door for Christmas

LIVINGSTON- The Polk
County Garden Club presented a
program on Vegetables and Fruits
to the fifth graders at Livingston
Intermediate School. The principal
at the Intermediate School is Bob-
bie Fagen.
The Sharks, Whales. Dolphins
and Starfish classes, along with
their teachers, got to hear the pro-
gram presented by Shirley Haley,
junior gardener leader.
Haley presented a program
about the different vegetables and
fruits, how they are grown and the
health importance of the vegetables
- id fruits.
The Polk County Garden Club
sponsored the junior gardener pro-
gram and they are appreciative of
the school and teachers for allowing
them to present the five programs
to the students every year.
FIVE GENERATIONS OF ADAMS HOLD REUNION-
There were five generations of the EH (Dick) and Mildred
Adams family present dunng a recent munion. They were (I-
r) Charlie Adams, Laticia Buss, Mark Alams holding grand
son Mikal Christian Buss and seated Mildred Adams Stark.

TO STUDENTS- Shirley Haley, leader of the Junior
Gardener Program sponsored by the Polk County Garden
Club, presented a program on the importance of fruits and
vegetables to fifth graders at Livingston Elementary School.
