Kindergarten Roundup Set For April 27th
CLIFTON — Clifton Elementary
School is looking forward to wel-
coming its next class of kindergart-
ners for the 2000-2001 school year
and will hold its Kindergarten
Roundup Thursday. April 27. at
12:30 p m., in the activity room at
the school.
Parents and future students will
be able to learn more about the
school while taking care of the reg-
istration process, after which they
will be taken on a tour of the kin-
dergarten classrooms and other
programs.
Items required for registration
include a copy of the county birth
certificate (not the hospital certifi-
cate), a copy of the child's social
security card, and the original shot
record plus a copy for the school
files.
Immunizations required for en-
rollment in school for five-year-olds
are three doses of polio vaccine,
one received after the fourth birth-
day; 4 doses DTP DtaP one after
the fourth birthday; two doses
MMR vaccine after "first birthday:
three dosed hepatitis B vaccine;
and one dose varicella. If the child
has had chicken pox. a verification
form will need to be signed.
A copy of the child's birth certifi-
cate may be obtained from the
Bosque County Courthouse if the
child was bom in the State of Texas.
The cost is $11.
The school will be hosting a shot
clinic Tuesday. May 9. from 1:30 un-
til 4 p.m. for children to get current
on their shots. A sigh up list will be
available at Kindergarten

recently received the Texas Society of CPA s Outstanding Junior Schol-
arship in Accounting Award at Hardin-Simmons University's School of
Business Awards Banquet. The award was presented by Charles Walts.
Pack is an accounting finance double major and*panish business ad-
ministration double minor at HSU.

Scholarship Applications
CLIFTON — Applications for
scholarships are being sought by
the Bosque County Business and
Professional Women's organiza-
tion. Graduating senior girls resid
ing in Bosque County are eligible
for a scholarship
Adult women also residing in
Bosque County w ho will be attend-
ing or returning to an institute of
higher education, are eligible for a
separate scholarship
The monetary value of the schol-
arships are based on the amount
the organization receives from van
ous fund raisers throughout the
year, including the semi-annual
salad and baked potato luncheon
and the fall sale of Inmsbrook gift
wTap.
While the exact amount or the
number of scholarships to be
awarded is yet to be determined, a
loose guideline would be one $500
Deadline To Apply is April 28
