AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR — Helping to train the CISD Athletic Department
staff on the use of the recently acquired AED unit recently were Jerry McDougal of the CVFD and
Marsha Honea, nurse manager at Goodall-Witcher (not pictured). On hand were coaches Jim
Wood, Bennett Fields, Ryan Hunt, Renee Stroman, and Brandi Kinney. The device was purchased
by the school with grant money and will enhance the safety of student athletes and CISD person-

PSAT Test To
Be Given At
CHS Next Week
CLIFTON - The PSAT test
will be given on Wednesday,
Oct. 18, at Clifton High School.
Registration is currently un-
derway at the high school, so
any 10th- or llth-grade student
who wants to take the test
should contact Counselor
Arlene Olson.
The cost of the test is $12,
and checks should be made
payable to Clifton High School.
Students who plan to attend
college need to take the test as
practice for the SAT test. Any
llth-grade student who wants
to try and qualify for the Na-
tional Merit Scholarship pro-
gram must take the test as a
junior.

CLIFTON — The Clifton El-
ementary and Intermediate
Schools’ Parent-Teacher Orga-
nization has kicked off its an-
nual box top collection drive.
“Box Tops are on so many
grocery, storage, and paper
items that we use and buy all
the time,” said Box Top Coor-
dinator and CES/CIS Librarian
Lori Kleibrink, “that clipping
Box Tops is one of the easiest
ways possible to be involved
with helping our schools.”
“Each Box Top collected and
sent in is worth 10 for our school,
and we usually earn over $500.
We collect them all year long —
I have people give them to me
at baseball games.”

CLIFTON — Parents of all
Clifton High School seniors are
asked to meet in the CHS Caf-
etorium at 6:30 p.m. Monday,
Oct. 16. Issues to be discussed
include the cookie dough fund-
raiser, senior year activities,
and the college application pro-
cess.

will be on hand to provide par-
ents with senior year informa-
tion.

box tops,” Kleibrink continued.
“They can be dropped off at any
school campus office and will be
collected on a regular basis.”
