also be limited for the play's second
performance on Saturday, April 21,
at S p.m. That performance is being
presented in conjunction with the
BCCFA and Bosque Memorial
Museum's Glimpse of the Past
Heritage Tour. Tickets for all per
formances are $6 for adults and $4
for students, and may be purchased
at the door. This weekend’s final
performance will be a Sunday
matinee on April 22 at 2 p.m. All
performances will be held in the
BCCFA Theatre Annex, 1701 W.
Ninth, next to Clifton’s Goodall-
Witcher Hospital.
Davis said the play is particular-
ly appropriate for church and school
groups. “The production has a reli-
gious and moral theme throughout
that you just don't find in dramas
written today,” said Davis. For the
first time, the BCCFA is offering
discounts fo encourage group atten-
dance. Those making reservations
in advance for 10 Or more persons
will receive a 10 percent discount.
To make reservations, contact the
BCCFA in Clifton at 675-3724 from
1-5 p.m., Monday through
Thursday.
Those unable to make one of the
three performances this weekend
will have three more opportunities
in coming weeks. Those perfor-
mances are scheduled for Saturday,
April 28 and May 5 at 7:30 p.m.;
and Sunday, April 28, at 2 p.m.
The Trip To Bountiful features an
all-star Bosque County cast and
crew of both veteran members and
newcomers. Cast in the leading role
of Mother Watts is Joy Schmidt of
Clifton. Portraying stage son Ludie
Watts is Mrs. Schmidt’s real-life
son, Steve, also of Clifton. Cindy
Parks of Laguna Park also stars as
the daughter-in-law.
Cast in supporting roles are: Jim
Vanderhoof of Clifton as the sheriff;
Harlos Bohannon of Walnut
Springs as the Harrison ticket man;
Vikki Hill of Meridian as Thelma;
Dianne Schmidt of Clifton as a pas-
senger, Bob Fuller of Clifton and
Milt Amundson of Clifton as
Houston ticket men; and Mae Cur-
tis, Bree Robertson, Carl Bennett
Schmidt, and Ryan Amundson, all
of Clifton; as bus passengers.
Aside from Davis and his wife,
Julie, who serve as directors, many
other individuals serve behind the
scenes in one or several capacities.
They include: Sandra Napieralski,
Cheryll Robretaon, Joan Spieler,
Orlette Watson, Craig Meinkowaky,
Jack Bruton, Darlene Arnold, Whit-
ney Smith, Donna Reuter, Marcie
Seljos Gillaspie, Beverly Jordan,
Bobbi Foster, and Bellamy Bertel-
sen, all of Clifton; Carol Duncan
and Rebecca Strange of Iredell;
Robert Bleything of Laguna Park;
Roberta Denton of Schuler’s Point;
Allison Gilliam of Valley Mills; and
Warren Garland of Waco.
Central Texas Fair To Host
Flea Market This Saturday

CENTRAL TEXAS FAIR REPORTER
CLIFTON — Flea Market Day scheduled for Saturday, April
21, on the Central Texas Fairgrounds, just off FM 219 east of
Clifton, promises to be a favorite event. This will be the 10th an-
nual flea market, a service to the public from the directors of the
Central Texas Fair Association and the Central Texas Fair.
Floor spaces in the Exhibits Building are already a sell-out, but
there is room under the roof of the Kenneth Jones Arena availa-
ble for a small fee. Outside in designated areas are spaces on a
first-come basis and a small fee is charged to sell from a camper
or trailer.
Homer McDougal is in charge df the flea market and is being
assisted by staff members of the Central Texas Feir Association.
To reserve a space under the roof or forlnformation, call 675-3170
or 675-8860.
The flea market opens at 9 a.m. and lasts until mid-afternoon.
Sellers should come earlier to set up shop. New items, old treas-
ures, homemade and handy items will be displayed for the buy-
er. Visitors are welcome to browse, spend the day, sell, buy, trade,
or give-away.
Articles donated to the association will be priced and sold, with
proceeds used to maintain the buildings. Articles are appreciat-
ed and pick-up can be arranged by calling one of the above-
mentioned phone numbers prior to the market day for the Kitch-
en Klutter. Emma McDougal is in charge of receiving and sell-
ing these items.
Sandwiches and soft drinks will be available from the kitchen
for a small cost. In various booths, sellers may have bakery
products to sell along with their jewelry, junk, toys, tack, pots,
pans, pictures, paints, flowers, fans, furniture, shoes, or shovels.
