POLLOK--Mark Lewis,
who plays right field for the
Lions of Livingston, may not
be master of all he surveys,
but the veteran senior
athlete is an eight-to-five
favorite in most situations.
Take Friday night at Cen-
tral Baseball Park during a
15 to 4 victory over Corrigan-
Camden High’s Bulldogs.
Lewis, who played defen-
sive back for Livingston foot-
ball team last fall, turned in
his best game of the season.
He scored five runs, blasted
five hits, credited with one
RBI and was at bat five
times.
“This is the first game I
have coached in a long, long
while where everything went
right for us,” says Coach
Davis Barker. “We had
some real hitting (20 hits).
Our first three lead off bat-
ters had 12 hits and last bat-
ter had three. I was very
pleased with our playing.”
The Lions wanted Friday
night’s win over Corrigan-
Camden. The Bulldogs had
beaten the Lions seven
straight games prior to Fri-
day nights game.
The two schools were
scheduled to play two weeks
ago in regular season play.
However, rain and cold
weather forced the game to
be called off. They plan to re-
schedule the games later in
the season.
BOX SCORE

Nacogdoches JV team, 6 to 5,
Thursday afternoon in the
first round of Central
baseball tournament. Dar-
rell Duff was the winning pit-
cher.
