Kleine Descendants Reunite In June
CLIFTON — The descendants
of Henry and Hedwig Kleine gath-
ered Saturday, June 14, at the Cay-

2 - 4:30 p.m. on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary in the
fellowship hall of Zion United Church located in the Womack commu-
nity east of Clifton.
Steven, known to his many devoted friends and beloved family mem-
bers as “Steve,” is the son of former Clifton and Bosque County resi-
dents, Raymond K. and S. Hester (Meinkowsky) Rosentreter of Waco,
and a grandson of the late Louis J. and Ida E. (Kelm) Rosentreter,
formerally of Hamilton County and Clifton; and the late Henry G. and
S.B. Emma (Thiele) Meinkowsky of the Womack community.
Steve’s Meinkowsky grandparents were lifetime members of Zion
Church and his parents where married and former members of there,
too. He also has one sister, Nancy Juarez of Elmendorf, Texas. He is
also a former member of Zion, and is currently a member of the Alli-
ance United Methodist Church of North Fort Worth.
Terry, the daughter of Alvin J. and Margie Werbner of Rockwall and
Shirlee Barba-Werbner of San Antonio, is the granddaughter of the late
Simon and Henrietta “Toots” (Marcus) Werbner and of Sam and I. Dottie
(Wolfson) Barban, all of San Antonio. She has one brother, Mark S.
Werbner, of Dallas. Terry is Jewish.
The couple first began their relationship as penpals in 1977. They first
met in the summer of 1978 when Steve was on vacation. The two an-
nounced their engagement on Valentine’s Day 1979, and on July 4, they
were married at the bride’s home in San Antonio.
Terry’s cousin, the Rabbi Bernard H. Mehlman of Boston, Mass, per-
formed the 2 p.m. Wednesday ceremony and with God’s greatest bless-
ings from the late Rev. Frank H. Horak, Jr., Steve’s pastor of Zion Church
and of the Womack community. Terry’s brother, Mark, acted as bestman
and Cheryl was maid of honor.
The couple have no children. Steve is employed by White’s Chapel
United Methodist Church in Southlake, and Terry is a housewife. They
have nephews and nieces of which they were proud: Eddie D. Crosby,
Jr. of Waco, Keith Crosby of San Antonio, Ryan Juarez of Elmendorf,
Benjamin Werbner of Dallas, Kristi Crosby (Eddie’s wife) of Waco,
Lauren Juarez of Elmendorf, and Dylah Werbner of Dallas, and one
great-niece, Shelly Crosby of Waco.
