The new home of D.L. Champion of Taylor Lakes
Estate examplifies the beautiful interior work that
homeowners in the Lake Livingston area have come to
expect from Rogers Construction of Livingston.
Rogers Construction, owned and operated by Toney
Rogers is know throughout the lake area for quality
cabinet work as well as overall remodeling projects and
total construction work. With Ch unpion’s home, Rogers
began with the framed-in house, adding all interior
work. That included am ample amount of bookcases and
cabinets, all in ash, for the kitchen and large den.
Rogers’ many homebuilding and remodeling projects
have ranged from shell to turn-key jobs, and, as in his
remodeling work, from the beginning he has stressed
quality at competitive prices — no small consideration
in these times.
Cabinet work is a specialty of Rogers Construction,
and much of it is in custom kitchen design. One fine ex-
ample of his cabinet work can be seen in the offices of
Gilbert Gas of l^ivingston, which was done last year.
Another project was was a large add-on for the Ruth
Peebles home near Livingston, which included all the
shelves for a home library.
To Rogers, his work is much more than a job or
business; it is an avocation, something that he finds dif-
ficult to imagine as mere work. And he expects and finds

the same kind of dedication to quality from the members
of his crew, which consists of Lester Walding and Jerry
Murphy.
Making a home newer and more liveable, he says, is
something he enjoys doing, whether it's bringing it up to
date or restoring an old home to its former glory.
Renovation, he says, is much harder that building a new
home, but he finds the results well worth the effort.
Rogers is experienced at add-ons and house leveling
for both houses and trailers and can handle complete
hor 'building and remodeling in all its phases. He will
also paint the exteriors of homes.
Rogers emphasizes his gratitude for the support of the
people in the lake area, and he says his customers are
his best references. If you're looking for a job well done,
from building a new home to adding on to an existing
one, check with Toney Rogers He works from his home,
where he has added a new shop. Call 327-4101.
