gal and son, Jerry, and Mr.

MeDougal, of Clifton were in
Richmond last weekend to at-
tend the Golden Wedding Anni-
versary celebration honoring Mr.
and Mrs. Raymond Gaston Sr.,
former Bosque Countians. Mr
MeDougal is a nephew of Mrs.
Gaston. The affair was held in
the home of the Gastons' son
and daughter-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Raymond Gaston Jr.
Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Harris
have just returned form a ten-
day visit with their son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Don-
ald Humphries, and sons, Brett
Wallace and Joel Bennett, in St
Louis. Enroute they were over-
night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don
Harris. Kevin and Marty, in
Oklahoma City, Okla. On their
return to Clifton, they spent sev-
eral hours with J. O. Milstead.

High School, who now resides in
Mount Pleasant.
Mrs. R. O. Bass has been on
an extended trip ineluding
Canada with her son and daugh-
ter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. R. O.
Bass, of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Mr Bass was holding a Seminar
for Hudson Bay Oil Co. in Cal-
gary for a week then they vis-
ited Banff, Lake Louise and
Jasper, returning by way of
Glacier National Park, Yellow-
stone, and Grand Telons, Estes
Park and Boulder, Colorado.
Mrs. Bass remained in Boulder
for a visit with her relatives,
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Schulze
and children.
Mrs. Carolyn Carroll, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Spenrath.
Rl. 1, Clifton, underwent heart
surgery at John Sealy Hospital,
Galveston, on July 9 to correct
her congenital heart defect. She
will remain there for about two
weeks then will convalesce at
her parents' home.
Miss Lillian Craven of Clifton
and Mrs. It 11 Stewart and Mrs.
Lawrence McMillan of Waco
were guests last week at Lake-
way Inn and Marina, a plush re-
sort on Lake Travis in the "hiil
country" near Austin. The ladies
are sisters.
Mr and Mrs. Comer Tyler and
M,r. and Mrs. Charles Westley
of Clifton were in Richmond last
Sunday to attend the 50th wed-
ding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs.
Raymond Gaston Sr. Mr. Gastcn
is a brother of Mrs. Tyler and
Mrs. Westley.
Mrs. G, It. Keel who has been
a guest of her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. R. O.
Bass, in Ponca City, Oklahoma,
for several weeks arrived home
Monday of last week. While away
she was on an extended tour with
the Busses which took her
through Kansas, South Dakota
and Black Hills, Wyoming and
Big Horn. Montana and Calgary,
Canada. They visited Banff, Lake
Louise and Jasper. returning
Immc by way of Glacier National
Park, Yellow.stone. Grand Tefons
and part of Canada.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Grimland
visited in Dallas from July 7 to
July 11 with Mr. and Mrs. Alvin
Pruitt and Mr. and Mrs. Doug
Kilcrease and children, Cindy
and Gary. Mrs. Pruitt is a daugh-
ter and Mrs. Kilcrease a grand-
daughter of Mrs. Grimland.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Anz,
were at Round Top, Sunday,
where they were joined by Mrs.
Anz’s brother and sister-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Neal W. Schulze,
of Houston. The occasion being
the I9th annual reunion of the
late John Ernst Schulze family.
Sandra Aanenson just return-
ed from a trip to Highland, Calif,
where she visited with Capt. and
Mrs. John G. Johnson and son
Jeff. She also enjoyed going to
Disneyland and Big Bear 'Lake,
Calif. She spent two weeks va-
cation there. On the way home
she visited the Grand Canyon.
