AT CITIZENSHIP SEMINAR — Linda Schulze, stand-
ing in bus door, and Glenda Wells, both Clifton High
students boarded a charter bus here July 20, to go to
Baylor University where they attended a Citizenship
Seminar for four days, conducted by the Texas Farm
Bureau. Purpose of the seminar is to give the student
a better understanding of the American system and
way of life. Both girls, incidentally, are finalists in the
“Smile Girl” contest for the Heart of Texas Fair. Linda
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schulze, and
Glenda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wells.

John S. Reed (R), president of Santa Fe Railway, cheeked
ron-trurtion progre** of 300 new ! 00-ton covered hopper cars
with a representative of Pullman Standard Mfg.Co.at the latter's
shops in fill tier, Pa. Reed reported the latent order will all lie
delivered in time to help with the 1071 grain harvest movement.
The railroad ha** added 1,300 high capacity covered hopper* to
it-* fleet this year, giving it a total of about 10,000 of the giant
car**, which are ideal for grain, potash and other hulk commod-
ities. “Through cooperation with everyone in the grain indus-
try, we are going to make an ail out effort to move grain at
harvest time volliout a serious tar shortage this year/’Reed said.
