GET BAYLOR DEGREES
Mrs. E. E. Schow, Mrs. W. C.
Hurst, and Ross Freeman, of Clif-
ton, were among the 380 students
to receive degrees from Baylor
University at, the summer - com-
mencement exercises which were
held Thursday night, August 17.
President W. R. White announc-
ed prior to the graduation exer-
cises that these graduates formed
the largest summer class in Bay-
lor’s history. An assortment of 16
different degrees were listed, and
98 of the group received master’s
degrees.
Speaker for the commencement
was Reverend James N. Morgan,
of Fort Worth, who also received
the honorary degree of doctor of
divinity.
Mesdames Schow and Hurst,
both teachers in the Clifton Public
Schools, received their Master of
Arts degrees, and Mr. Freeman
was a candidate for his Bachelor
of Laws degrees.

Several members of the John
Dunlop Sr. family of Hamilton
gathered at the City Park in Clif-
ton Sunday to celebrate the birth-
days of Calvin Dunlop of Clifton
and his sister, Bobbye Jean, of
Hamilton. Those here were Mr. and
Mrs. Tom Dunlop and three child-
ren and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cor-
ley of Fort Worth, Mr. and Mrs.*

Arlington, Miss Hattie Dunlop of
Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. John Dunlop
Sr. and daughters, Bobbye Jean and
Mary Ada, Mr. and Mrs. Frank

The last named lady is the mother
of Mrs. Calvin Dunlop; the others
