Special Church Service
Sunday To Close Meeting
(By Bliss Stella Vickrey)
The Methodist revival started
here Sunday night. Rev. Ira Thomas
of the Trinity Methodist Church
of Fort Worth opened the revival
with a splendid spiritual message,
which proved quite an inspiration
to the large crowd present. The
revival will continue throughout
this week, with services at night
only. *
Rev. Jimmy Mobley, the pastor,
will conduct the services. Mrs.
Jessie Alexander of Mosheim is
pianist, and the choir has been
rendering some splendid messages
in song. Rev. Ira Thomas will re-
turn and have charge of the clos-
ing services. There will be special
music Sunday.
Lunch will be served Sunday
on the church lawn in the shade
of the large oaks and pecan trees.
The public is cordially invited and
urged to come out and join in
spiritual fellowship.
Otis Blue was painfully injured
here at his home Thursday after-
noon while working on his car.
He was carried to the Clifton hospi-
tal, where he remained until Sun-
day afternoon. His condition is im-
proving. Quite a number of his
friends have visited him during
his illness.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson
left Saturday for an extended visit
to Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, where
they will be the guests of their
son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Avery D. Johnson.
Mrs. T. C. Boedeker Jr. of Wal-
nut Springs and Mrs. T. C. Boede-
ker and children of Meridian were

Mathews and family on Tuesday

a Stanley party Friday afternoon.
The party was sponsored by Mrs.
Hefner of Clifton. The guests were
greeted on arrival by Mrs. Lane
and invited into the dining room,
where Mrs. P. E. Dansby served
delicious grape punch and cookies.
J The table was covered in a beige
I lace cutwork cloth and set with a
beautiful crystal punch set. After
a few well planned games, Mrs.
Hefner gave a very interesting
demonstration on the Stanley pro-
ducts. Visitors present were Mrs.
Hefner of Clifton, Miss Vara Gladys
Jones, Mrs. Tipton, Sirs. Bun Cum-
mings, and Mrs. Walter Parks, all
of Mosheim.
