meet at 10 a.m. (new time starting In
Oct) each Wednesday for their Golf
Playdays. The first Wednesday
Playdays is followed by the monthly
business meeting.
Tournament chairman for the
month of September was Brenda
Pursley. The following were the
Playday winners for September.
Wednesday, September I (First
Wednesday Playday). 10 members
present.
First flight—22-29 handicap: low
gross, Wilma Hamilton; low net,
Jlmmye Robbins.
Second flight—30-30 handicap:
low gross, Billie Copley; low net,
June Claltor.
Third flight—37 handicap: low
gras, Shirley Eggelston; low net,
Brenda Pursley and Nikki Wikstrom

A total of 14 members attended the
business meeting following the
Playday, during which plans were
made for the InterClub Tournament
to be held at Livingston on Wednes-
day, September 15 and for the LIGA
annual Club Championship Tourna-
ment scheduled for Saturday and
Sunday, October 9-10. Jlmmye Rob-
bins will be the tournament chair-
man and a picnic will follow the tour-
nament on Sunday evening, Oct. 10.

Interclub Tournament at Livingston.
A total of 29 ladles participated In
this InterClub Tournament from
Wildwood, Cape Royale, Texas Na-
tional and Livingston. A delicious
Tacco Salad luncheon with
homemade chocolate and coconut
pies (made by LLGA Hospitality
Committee Chairman, dean Stewart)
for desert was enjoyed by all follow-
ing the tourna;ment at the
Livingston Country Club. Thank
You, Dean!!!!!!!
The tournament winners were an-
nounced as follows:
First flight: low gross, Marlene
Wooster, Texas National; low net,
Wilma Hamilton, Livingston; low
putts, Julie Archer, Wildwood.
Second flight: low gross, Jhnmye
Robbins, Livingston; low net, Mar-
tha Burditt, Cape Royale; low putts,
Billie Copley, Livingston.
Third flight: low gross, Pam
Sprott, Livingston; tow net, Billie
Dawson, Livingston; low putts,
Margie Mackenzie, Livingston.

Thursday night in Lion Stadium.
Jasper is 7-0-0 for the season and
2-0-0 in district play.
Livingston dropped to 1-6-0
overall and 0-2-0 in district

This slate of new officers was un-
anamlously accepted. They, along
with other appointed Committee
Chairmen, will be presented at the
LLGA annual awards banquet on
Tuesday, OcL 19.
Wednesday, OcL 6—no scheduled
Playday due to InterClub Tourna-
ment at Wildwood, although three
LLGA ladles did play at Livingston.
Eight LLGA ladles participated In
the InterClub Tournament at
Wildwood. Contratulations to Wilma
Hamilton, low putts In first flight;
Billie Dawson, low putts In third
flight and Jlmmye Robbins, closest to
the pin, bole Na 15. A total of 30
ladies participated In the tourniunent
and enjoyed a delicious luncheon un-
der the Wildwood Pavilion after-
ward.
The InterClub meeting was then
conducted by Wilma Hamilton, vice
president, In the absence of the presi-
dent.
The following officers were elected
for the 1994 InterClub Year: Presi-
dent Wilma Hamilton, Livingston;
Vice President Sarah Holmes,
Wildwood; Secretary nit Sutton,
Cape Royale; Treasurer Barbara
Foster, Cape Royale. There will be
an InterClub organizational meeting
in F ebruary 1994 at Cape Royale for
the various club representatives, of-
ficers and proa.
Congratulations to LLGA member
and 1993 President, Billie Copley on
her recent marriage to Jerry Smith
of Onalaska, Texas. We will try to

Thursday night in a district game.
Lions arc 4-3-0 for the season.
The Livingston JVs will play
host to Silsbcc Thursday, Oct. 21 at
Leading rusher
Jasper running back Grant was
the game’s leading rusher with 145
yards on 14 carries and scored on a
49 yard TD.
Receiver DcMarcus Horn caught
a pair of touchdown passes from
quarterback D’Kcndrick Vidilo
Horn’s catches were for 46 and 3
yards.
Jasper rushed for 230 yards on
33 carries and scored one TD.
Speedster Dcwaync McAllister
rushed 7 times for 62 yards.
Quarterback Vidito completed 3-
of-3 passes for 52 yards and two
TDs. Q-back Sam Smith completed
l-of-2 passes for a minus 2 yards.
Jasper had 14 first downs, 230
yards rushing (33 carries) and 50
yards passing for 280 yards total
offense.
Livingston Lions were held to 4
first downs (non in the second
halO, 69 yards on 30 carries and 12
yards passing for 81 yards total of-
fense.
Running back
Running back Reginald Finislcr
was Livingston’s leading rusher
with 75 yards on 19 carries. His
longest gainer was for 29 yards. '
Through seven games Finislcr
has rushed for 1,014 yards on 127
carries and a 7.9 yards per try
average. He has scored eight TDs.
Ryan Ganzcr punted live umes
’ lor the Lions. He had punts of 19,
30. 34, 18 and 21 yards for 122
yards and a 24.4 yards average.
Lions returned five kickoffs for
93 yards. Shunnon Goms had three
returns for 52 yards, Finislcr one
for 28 yards and Kevin Smith one
for 13 yards.
Some of. the standouts on
defense for the Lions were: Robert

Glass, Shcrrard Headley, Mike
Kirkpatrick, Greg Smith, Reginald

Second quarter
With 9:03 left in the second
quarter the Bulldogs stopped the
Lions at the Jasper 30 yard line on
a fourth down play.
Jasper took over the ball at the
Jasper 30 and in three plays the
’Dogs were on the scoreboard.
Quarterback D’Kcndrick Vidito
found wide receiver DcMarcus
Horn near the Lion 30. Horn caught
the ball and turned on his jets to
scored the first TD of the night
with 7:57 left in the second quarter.
The pass/run play covered 46
yards. Brian Lourancc kicked the
extra point, 7 to 0. The TD drive
covered three plays, two first
downs and 70 yards.
With 5:34 left in the third quarter
the Bulldogs started an impressive
drive from their own 30. So, on
third down at the three, quarterback
Vidilo hit Horn with a three yard
touchdown pass with 1:16 left in
the quarter. Lourancc kicked the
extra point, 14 to 0. The drive
covered 70 yards and 9 plays.

quarter. On the third play, quarter-
back Shannon Goins’ pass was in-
tercepted by by Sam Smith on the
Lion 30. He quickly returned the
ball for. a TD with 9:51 left in the
game. • Lourancc kicked the extra

Then with 7:49 on the clock in
the. fourth period the Bulldogs
started another TD drive. On the
second play, running back Grant
broke away from several Lions and
went 49 yards for a TD with 7:22
on the clock. Lourancc kicked the
extra point and the ’Dogs led, 28 to
0.
