A Working Faith?
Athletes or any active person
knows their bodies need to exercise
to keep from becoming dormant.
If an athlete doesn’t keep active,
he cannot perform to full capacity.
Likewise each of us could become
inactive, and our bodies would be-
come weak. Our muscles would be-
come very dormant.
I remember how my brother, who
was a wrestler many years ago,
would always do “workouts” as he
would call it. He knew that to be in
top condition it took work. To him
it was very essential. His wrestling
ability depended on keeping his
body in the best condition he could.
James 2:26, “For as the body
without the spirit is dead, so faith
without works is dead.”
When we work we exercise our
bodies. When we work in faith for
the Lord, we are not only exercising
our faith, but it makes our faith
stronger in God. It is because of our
faith in Jesus, we can truly accept
Him as our Saviour and Redeemer.
Then as we study the Word of God,
our faith becomes stronger and our

works of faith will increase of faith.
It is our faith in God and His
Word, that makes us realize there
is a need to exercise our faith, and
also our bodies.
Remember, God loves you!
