SENIOR SCOOPS
A dance? When, Where, Why?
November the fifteenth immediate-
ly following the game with Junc-
tion is “When?” The Bandera
Public School Gymn is the place.
The admission is fifty cents for
couples and thirty-five cents, stag.
And the purpose is to raise money
for the senior trip. There will be
an orchestra, and everyone is in-
vited to the dance.
The class is very proud of one
of their girls, Jean Kalka, who is
the senior candidate for FFA
Sweetheart. Congratulations, Jean!
Along with everyone, the sen-
iors were rightly proud of all the
Bulldogs last Friday night when
they defeated Comfort with such
a terrific score; however, this was
not the only event of the evening
which made the seniors burst with
joy. Bobby Stevens was chosen
as one of the permanent captains
EIGHTH GRADE NEWS
Joyce Mazurek went to a foot-
ball game Friday night and Sun-
day she went to a fish fry given
by Mr. and Mrs. Pearson at Me-
dina Lake.
J Charles Walker played football
Thursday against St. Anthony's
Shrine Tigers, and Saturday he
spent the day with Charles Ray-
mond Eckhart.
Terry Knibbe went to the foot-
ball game and Saturday night he
went to the Mueller’s Hallowe’en
party.
Friday night Pat Lbcklin went
to the football game.
Saturday evening Karen Walters
had a nice time at the Mueller’s
Hallowe’en party with Barbara
Flach.
Roger Ramos played
ball game and had Mr. and Mrs.
Loice Odom and family to visit
him this week-end.
Th Girl Scouts are having their
Investiture ceremony Monday af-
ternoon which will make Susan
Langford, Linda King, Karen Kitz-
man, Camille Rosquist, Jane Ma-
zurek, Annette Miller, and Bonnie
Mansfield true Girl Scouts.
This week-end Judy Mueller
went to church on Sunday. Fri-
day night she went to the football
game and Saturday night she
gave her Hallowe’en party and
dressed as a late 1920’s girl.

The Bandera FFA chapter init-
iated the freshmen into the Green
Hand degree on October 28, 1957.
After the opening ceremony, the
initiation began. What fun! All
of the freshmen boys were fooled
by the tricks that were planned.
The chapter fund has steadily
increased since the start of the
football season. At all home games

home they went by the house of
Judge Roy Bean at Langtry, Texas,
and saw many interesting things.

Well, 1 guess all the freshmen
lived over Friday night and the

Sunday and visiter her uncle and
aunt.
Alvera Algueseva reports visit-
ing Alt., and Mrs. Boh Johnson in
Medina. Saturday night.
Janis Mogiunh had a pleasant
visit from her grandparents. Mr.

Kay Wootton’s father bought a
new car Friday, It is a 1957 green
Plymouth. Sunday they went to
Saldnal to visit" their grandmother
and grandfather.
Laura Jane Strieker had rela-
tives for company Saturday.
Saturday night the Episcopal
Sunday School had a Hallowe’en
party at the Muellers. There were
about thirty-eight people there.
They played many games and it
was a lot of ofun.
THIRD GR VDE NEWS
Peggy Evans went to a Fine
Arts Glub with her mother. She
enjoyed the pretty dishes and
beautiful flowers.
Ronnie Richards went out to
his ranch yesterday and picked up
a whole bag of pecans.
Kimberly Horsman got a kit-
ten Friday.
Rita Brokw went to the lee
t’apades Friday. She brought
hack a program and the class en-
joyed Iqoking at it and hearing
about the show.
John Richards went to Alpine
Saturday. They saw a football
game. He went on to Mexico.
Ollie Murphy reports the Doc-
tor will remove the cast from his
arm in two weeks.
Mary Obeido is back after a
week of absence.
Kerry Helgren had company
over the week-end.
Billy C. Wright had a nice week-
end.
Cynthia Flach has a baby sister.
Congratulations, Cynthia.
FIRST GRADE ( HATTER
Those of us who got to attend
the Carnival had a wonderful time.
We caught some real good fish
in the fish pond and the rides on
the donkeys were so much fun.
We want to thank all of the
mothers and fathers who worked
so hard to help us have a nice
carnival. The primary department
made $112.00 clear from our part
of the carnival.
We are unhappy about a vacant
desk in our room this week. Sev-
eral of our class mates have cold
nnd flu. We do hope that they
are soon wel land that no more
will get the hug.
We are having a lot of fun
talking about Indians. We are
beginning to work on a Unit in
Indians. We will end with open
house ad a little program Novem-
ber 2(1. IT A night.
ElETII GRADE NEWS
We were all sorry to hear that.
Glenda Kay Ritcheson and her
family took her dad to the hos-
pital in Kerrville. We hope he
has a speedy recovery.
J. M. and George Clements and
their dad had fun playing with
darts and with their pet squirrels
over the week-end.
David Flach and Glenda Kaye
enjoyed the Bandern-Comfort foot-
ball game Friday night.

The ETA held it- first meeting
of the year on Friday, November
1. 1957. Johnny Tucker, past
president, opened the meeting. Air
King, our new sponsor, gave us n
talk on the qualifications nnd
goals of the FT A. After Mr.
King’s talk, we elected new of-
ficers. These new officers are:
President. Sandy Mott; Vice-Presi-
dent, Betty l.nskowski; Secretary,
Carole Hardin: Treasurer, Bobby
Preston: Parliamentarian, Wendell
Langford; Historian, Carol Anne
Vaughn; Librarian, Gracie Rich-
ards; Song Leader. Elsie Eaurie.
Atr. King gave us a talk on pro-
ject. The ETA now has for the
Rally which will be presented this
Friday. The President, ndjourned
the meeting since there was no
other business.
