Homecoming
Dance Planned
By EH Council
The EHS first Student Council
meeting was held Wednesday,
Sept. 10. The club discussed the
homecoming dance,
chaperones, expenses, ad-
vertising, and fee and time. The
dance will feature the group
“Midnight,” and it will be from
11 p.m. to 1 a.m. at SPJST Hall.
The club has also discussed a
standard grade average
requirement for all clubs and
organizations in the school
system. The regular meeting
will be held during 4th period,
and emergency meetings will
be held at night.
The officers for the 1975-76
year are: President-Ronnie
Haskovec, vice-president-Otto
Carroll, secretary-Joyce Welch,

Church Meets -
The Alathean Class of Baylor
Baptist Church met Tuesday
afternoon at Fellowship Hall in
monthly social and business
session.
Mrs. T. A. Bexley, director,
presided#and Mrs. W. I. Rabe,
gave the invocation. Reports
were made by the different
officers and chairmen.
Officers for the new year
were announced as follows:

A Bicentennial Picnic at Flag
Pole Hill, right off White Rock
Lake, will be sponsored
Saturday by the Bahai Com-

Of Ennis Hi
Holds Meet
Ennis High French Club held
its first meeting and several
items were discussed.
Joy Burns was elected to
Student Countil representative.
Several committees and
chairmen of each were ap-
pointed; refreshment com-
mittee-Mike Betik; program
committee-Lisa McBurnett;
bulletin committee-Sherie
Caldwell, and publicity com-
mittee-Dale Munn.
A list is to be placed on the
bulletin board and suggestions
for money making projects will
be written on this list.
C’est la vie is to be the new
name of the French Club.
Redecoration of the room was
put off until the next meeting.
Dues were set at $3.00 and the
deadline is Oct. 15, and regular
meetings will be held twice a
month on the 2nd and 4th weeks.
The possibility of buying
identifying shirts for C‘est la
vie was discussed. _

Mama’s Unexpected Company
Potato Salad, which Mrs. Reed
said her mother prepared when

a bunch of her cousins came to
visit them unexpectedly. It

UNEXPECTED
COMPANY
POTATO SALAD
Boil six medium potatoes
When tender mash and while
hot add one raw egg. Stir well.
Add 2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
Salt to taste
Add 2 Tbsps. each of chopped
pickles and chopped onion
Taste to see if more seasoning
is needed.
Decorate with flowers formed
of boiled eggs and pickle slices.
Serve to a bunch of hungry
relatives.

sday evening in Fellowship Hall
were the 1974-75 class officers.
Mrs. Tom Moseley, teacher of
the class, gave the invocation
after which a delicious salad
course was served.
Following the supper Mrs.
Troy Dungan presided over the
business meeting as class
president. When this portion of
the meeting was concluded,
Mrs. Dungan turned the
meeting over to Mrs. Charles
Herrin, vice president.
Mrs. Herrin presented Mrs.
Paul Stripling who conducted
the installation of officers for
the incoming year. Mrs.
Stripling’s presentation was y
entitled “Diamonds Compared
to the Christian Life.” She
stressed many facets of the
diamond relating to the class^
officers for 1975-76 when she
installed the following officers:
Mrs. Troy Dungan,president;
Mrs. Chas. Herrin, vice
president; Mrs. Glyn Stokes,
secretary; Mrs. Eva Ruth
Jones, treasurer; Mrs.
Marguerite Taylor, reporter;
Mrs. James Rheay, class
ministries; group leaders are
Bonnie Burford, Grace French,
Thelma Gooch, Eunice Van-
derslice and Jeannette King.
Mrs. Tom Moseley will continue
to teach the class for the in-
coming year.
Mrs. Stripling was presented
a gift from the B&PW Class by
Mrs. Herrin who expessed the
appreciation of the class for the
six years that Mrs. Stripling
had been in Baylor Baptist
Church.
Mrs. Eva Ruth Jones read the
treasurer’s report. A love of-
fering was taken.
New yearbooks were
distributed by Miss" Thelma
Gooch. ■
Mrs. Grace French gave the
closing prayer.
