before the Ennis Lions journey
down Interstate 35E to Waco to
battle the Midway Panthers.
This has been a long two weeks
for Lions since they strapped
" on battle gear against outside
competition. The Lions are
primed and ready for the
district opener. The Lions have
tfce offense and defense to do
what they have to do and they
the Robinson-Meridian exit.
The Rocket Drive-Inn Theater
know you will see a good foot-
ball game. Cage the Pan-
thers !!!
Lionbackers, read these in-
structions carefully and you will
end up at Midway. Go to
Waxahachie and go south on I-
35 E. Stay on 35 through Waco to
the Loop 340 exit. This will be
the Robinson-MMeridian exit.
The Rocket Drive -ilnn Theater
will be on the left. Go right on
Loop 340 to Hiway 84 which is
the McGregor hiway. Turn
left on 84 and Midway will be
down 84 about one mile. You
will be able to see the stadium
now. Go Lions — Cage the
Panthers!!!

will be Jon Paul Monreal, Corky
Boyd, Billy Novotny, and Mark
Gant.
jjhere is a group of young
men that are getting there
football careers started early.
These players are playing in the
Dallas Police Association
League and play for the Oak
Cliff Cubs. There is a picture of
these players and their coach
elsewhere in this issue.
There is plenty of football to
be seen tonight. The 8th grade
maroon team will play the 9th
grade white team and the JV
will make their home debut
against Waco University High
JV. The first game has a 6 p.m.
Kickoff followed by the JV at
7:30 p.m. If you want to go out of
town, the 9th grade maroon will
journey to Cow Town to play
Paschal at Southwest Field.
This game has a 5 p.m. kickoff.

HOUSTON - Gordie Howe
has changed his mind and will
play the entire 1975-76 season
for the Houston Aeros, whom he
has paced to a pair of Work
Hockey Association titles. Ths
47 year old Howe, a long-time
national hockey league star
announced last spring that he
would retire after the first home
game this year. But he changed
his mind.
LAUREL, Maryland - A
British horse, “Record Run,”
has accepted an invitation to the
Washington International
November eighth at Laurel
Track in Maryland. Record
Run won the Prince of Wales
stakes in England earlier this
year.
