has dropped off about 4 cents
in the past GO days, we have
dwided to not raise the price
of the Eagle to $‘2, but let it
remain at the same old price
of $1.50 the year.
How long this price will con-
tinue we are unable to say, as
news print may go up as fast
as it went down.
We have several hundred dol-
lars out on subscription and
which we are sorely in need of
at this time and would ap-
preciate those who are behind
coming in and settling for
same. A dollar or two to the
most of our readers does not
amount to anything, but center-
ed at one place would l>e of great
assistance at this time.
New York, March 18.—Finally
it is admitted that skirts are
growing longer, but according
to Paris advices this applies on-
ly' t<i dresses for formal wear.
For the street and for sports
the skirt is to remain as short
as ever, that means just about
us short as the wearer cares to
make it.
In the more formal costumes
the added length is in the outer
chap *ry, the panels and in tun-
ics, while the foundations re-
main short and narrow.
The outstanding feature of
the styles is long and flowing
sleeves. While the draped sil-
houette still is in favor, study
of the modes shows that the
silhouette can be made about
whatever you please to make it.
Chicago, March -8.—Taffetas
are everywhere in the spring
showings. Navy blue and black
are holding their own as the
popular colors, with many pretty
effects seen in grey. Cotton
crepes also are popular for af-
ternoon wear.
Miami Beach, Fla., March 18.
—Many of the fairest bathers
at the beaches nowadays are
wearing kimona l>athing cos-
tumes, the effect of which is
more like pajamas. Some have
likened it to the wearing appar-
el of the coolie. The trousers
are short and loose and the tun-
ic long. A sash about the waist
is a feature, and a Japanese
parasol generally completes the
picture.
New York, March 18.—A ten-
dency to high crowns is evidenc-
ed in some of the imported mil-
linery displays now to ba seen
in the metropolis. Morning and
street hats are small while for
afternoon and formal wear the
models are extremely large,
some measuring nineteen inches
Our pastures both in Kimble
and Edwards Counties are pos-
ted, but there is certain par-
ties having ranches joining us
who seem toynave no respect
for a neighbws rights, who not
only hunt in^our pasture but al-
low others t/ camp in their pas-
ture and hunt on us, and kill
Ws and Fawns same as Bucks.
We will prosecute to the full
*xtent of the law any one caught
tresspassing in any of our pas-
tures.
