YEARBOOK ISSUED
TO GIRL SCOUTS
“The Log,” Girl Scout year-
book giving a complete record of
the progress made in scouting
during the past year, was com-
pleted and issued during the
past week.
The books, begun last Novem-
ber, are ranked as the most out-
standing achievement of the or-
ganization, having been made en-
tirely by local girl scouts except
for binding work. They are
bound in green and attractive
border drawings and sketches in
green decorate most of the pages.
All printing work was done by
the girls during their spare time
on the scout mimeograph ma-
chine, and all pictures were tak-
en and developed by the girls
themselves, with the aid of J. T.
Stirk.
Snapshots and descriptions of
each scout occupy 18 pages of the
publication. Group photos of
brownie troops, leaders and
friends are shown. Special, page,
free-hand drawings introducing
each section of the book were
drawn by Lillie Mae Walker, lo-
cal girl scout. Dedication was
made to all friends of
Scouts in Aransas Pass.
