A. J. Edwards has recently sold
some shares or interests in the
Natitoriuin Orchard property in
Alpine; the business men of Al-
pine lieing the purchasers. It
is the purpose, to sink one or more
wells to add to the already avail-
able supply of water to care for
the orchard, vineyard and truck
patch, and also to supply the
swimming pool properly. .
Owing to the dry season and
the increased need of water as
the orchard grows larger, Mr.
Edwards has thought it best to
leave off the swimming so far
this season. This has b$en a dis-
comfort to the people of Alpine
but under the present arrange-
ment this conditon will not occur
again.
A protest has been filed with
the County Democratic Commit-
tee against the pledge which was
ordered printed on the ballot as
follows:
