Newly weds Brandon and
Hollie (Roberts) McClanahan
spent their first weekend
as husband and wife at the
Delta County Fair. Brandon
and Hollie were married
Saturday, April 10 and being
overwhelmed by wedding
gifts piled in their home,
decided to get out and enjoy
the day at the fair. Hollie
stated, “ I try to come every
year and I really just wanted
to come out and enjoy the
festivities. We were afraid it
was going to rain but it turned
out to be a really nice day.”
Brandon states, “I haven’t
been in a few years but I am
really looking forward to
it. I am especially looking
forward to a turkey leg and
the Firemen’s Challenge!”
Hollie likes to keep things
local and as communications
coordinator of the Methodist
Church keeps herself
very busy. She is always
volunteering wherever she is
needed, such as The Angel
Food Ministries. She is also
Coordinator for Christian
Women United, Committee
Chair for the Military Support
Group, a member of Phi Theta
Kappa, member of the Delta
County Historical Society,
Member of United Daughters
of the Confederacy, the Pinkie
Princess with the Red Hat
Society and now new wife to
husband Brandon, who is very
proud of his wife. Hollie’s
dream is to someday have
a misson center in Cooper
to “help people up.” Hollie
states, “I want to help people
and I would loved to teach
people to do better in life.”
