Klondike News
_By John & Elizabeth Hopkins_
The members of
The Church at Klondike
celebrated the season with
Fall Fest Sunday night. There
were games and activities
for children ( of all ages!)
while a delicious stew was
being prepared over an
open fire outdoors. After
everyone had eaten their
fill of stew, cornbread or
crackers, drinks and desserts,
they were entertained by a
talent show emceed by John
Hopkins. Entries ranged
from a demonstration of
extreme martial arts and a
silent film skit to all sorts of
musical events. Following
a “hay-less” ride, bags of
candy were passed out to the
children as the evening ended.
Visitors to the Stone
home this week included
Louise and Glen Stone, and
Sharon and Larry Jordan.
Patricia Blundell visited
with daughter Tina after
church services Sunday.
Sabrina Blundell visited
with Patricia on Saturday
afternoon. Patricia heard
from Rebecca Anderson and
Ricky Blundell this weekend.
Pearl and Cindy Foster
were waiting for their men
to arrive home Sunday
afternoon. They had taken a
long weekend hunting trip.
Stella Martin was
expecting granddaughter
Cassie to arrive Sunday
afternoon with Stella’s
great-great-grandson for
a visit. On Friday Stella
visited with Lorene Martin.
They put a puzzle together.
Tina Rainey and daughter
Lindsay attended a Home and
Garden party at East Delta
church. Gloria Kirkpatrick
has a new line of products and
did a show to introduce them.
Maggie Thomas attended
a Heart to Heart Women’s
Retreat with New Beginnings
Fellowship this weekend. The
event started Friday October
24 and ended Sunday October
26. The theme was Intimacy
with God. Everyone had a
great time and the weather
was absolutely beautiful for it.
