Stout announce their wedding
Reunion for classes
of 50's and 60's
Sally Elizabeth Silman of
Cooper, Texas and Lance
Chandler Stout of Cooper,
Texas were united in marriage
on Saturday, June 12th, 2010,
was Laney Davidson of
Commerce, niece of the
bride.
The attendants wore lapis
strapless dresses made of
7:00 pm at the First Baptist
Church in Cooper, Texas. Dr.
L.C. Stout, grandfather of the
groom, officiated the double-
ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. & Mrs. Billy Jack
Silman of Cooper, Texas
and the granddaughter of the
late Jack & Joyce Silman of
Cooper, Texas and the late
J.T. & Marguerite Conway of
Clarksville, Texas.
The groom is the son of
Dr. & Mrs. Jerry Stout of Tom
Bean, Texas and the grandson
of Dr. & Mrs. L.C. Stout of
Pattonville, Texas and the
late Larry Chandler and Ann
Coker Chandler Campbell.
The bride was escorted
to the altar by her father and
given in marriage by her
parents. She chose a white
floor length strapless dress by
Alfred Angelo. The dress was
designed with a fitted bodice
of beaded, sequin and metallic
crystal embellishments. The
ballroom skirt had touches
of beaded sequin crystals
with an attached chapel train
and the hem was trimmed
with white satin. Her veil
of tulle was accented by a
crystal tiara. She carried a
fresh bouquet of white roses,
green hydrangeas, and purple
alstroemeria. She wore a blue
garter that was hand made in
1958 by her grandmother,
Joyce Silman. Mrs. Silman
made the garter for her niece,
Peggy Silman Richardson, of
Howe. The same blue garter
was worn in 1994 by the
bride’s sister, Kristy Silman
Davidson when she was
married. The bride carried
a 1984-penny for something
old. For something new she
wore a new crystal earring,
necklace, and bracelet set
given to her by her mother.
The matron of honor
was Kristy Davidson of
Commerce, Texas, sister of
the bride. Bridesmaids were
Julie Silman of Sulphur
Springs, Texas, sister-in-law
of the bride, Shanna Marshall
of Cooper, Texas, cousin of
the bride, Amber Steward
of Kilgore, Texas, friend of
the bride, and Jr. Bridesmaid
peau de soie with above the
knee hemlines. They carried
bouquets of apple green
hydrangeas enhanced with
hints of white and purple
flowers.
The candle lighters were
Chandler Silman of Sulphur
Springs, Texas and Riley
Davidson of Commerce,
Texas, nieces of the bride.
The candle lighters wore
lapis dresses matching the
bridesmaids.
Flower girls were Landry
Davidson of Commerce,
Texas, niece of the bride, and
Kaylee Jo Silman of Pittsburg,
Texas, cousin of the bride.
They wore white ankle length
corset style dresses of tulle.
They carried white baskets of
white rose petals.
Serving as best man was
Justin Steward of Kilgore,
Texas. Groomsmen were
Drew Conley of Cooper,
Texas, Benton Randle of
Plano, Texas, and Adam Shaw
of Dallas, Texas, all life long
friends of the groom. The
Jr. groomsman was Easton
Silman and the ring bearer
was Colt Silman of Sulphur
Springs, Texas, both nephews
of the bride.
Ushers for the ceremony
were Curtis Grimes of
Austin, Texas, cousin of the
groom and Cody Chevalier
of Cooper, Texas, life long
friend of the groom.
Bridal registry attendant was
Jana Jackson of Davenport,
Iowa, friend of the bride.
Wedding music was
provided by Judy Thompson,
pianist, and Dianne Thomas,
organist. They played a
medley of wedding songs
preceding the ceremony
and the traditional wedding
marches during the ceremony.
Vocalist, Macey Talley of
Wolfe City, Texas sang “I Just
Call You Mine” by Martina
McBride and “In This Very
Room”. During the lighting
of the unity candle, “Only
you can love me this way” by
Keith Urban was played.
Following the ceremony,
an outside reception was held
at the home of Billy Jack and
Linda Silman, parents of the
bride.
When guests arrived, they
entered the wedding tent by
way of a decorated, wooden
bridge and were met with a
delightful array of decorations
extending from the entrance
of the reception tent through
out the beautiful, backyard
pool and cabana area. White
linen tablecloths covered
each of the round tables
which were decorated with
a mixture of silk flower and
fresh flower arrangements
of green hydrangeas and
purple flowers. The glass
vases containing these
arrangements were of varying
sizes. Candles were also
interspersed among the table
ensembles on each table.
The brides table was laid
with a white lace tablecloth.
It held the bride’s four tiered
white cake with butter cream
icing with fresh purple and
apple green flowers, topped
with a large silver S initial.
The cake was designed
by Mary Lou Wright of
Birthright, Texas. Tall
crystal vases were filled with
fresh green hydrangeas and
purple flowers accented with
lighted white Japanese cherry
blossom flowers.
The groom’s table was
covered with a white linen
tablecloth and adorned with
candles along with a vase
of hydrangeas. The grooms’
choice of cakes consisted of a
Tres Leche cake with Godiva
Chocolate tiers cascading
upward. A golf theme was
represented thru individual
water bottles and golf tees
labeled with the couples
names and wedding date.
Members of the wedding
party were introduced
individually as they entered
the reception to the music
“I Gotta a Feeling-Tonight’s
going to be a Good Night” by
Black Eyed Peas.
Guests were served
appetizers along with a
Mexican buffet of fajitas with
the trimmings and ice cream
sundaes catered by Gilda
Landers of Sulphur Springs.
Music was provided by
DJ, Andy Stirrat of Glenn
Heights, Texas, owner of
Steppin up Media.
Wedding coordinator was
Lyn Alley, life long friend
of the bride and her family.
Richelle Johnson, friend of
the bride, was the reception
coordinator.
Flowers for the wedding
were designed and arranged
by Judy Silman, aunt of the
bride, Kathy Turner, friend
of the bride, and Beverly
Williams, owner and operator
of The Flower Box in Wolfe
City, Texas. Photography was
by Jamie Birdsong.
Wedding favors of apple
green hand fans and white
golf tees with the couples
name and wedding date were
given to guests.
The bride is a graduate
of Cooper High School class
of 2002 and a 2008 graduate
of Texas A&M University-
Commerce. She is currently
employed by Texas A&M
University- Commerce as an
Accounting Assistant.
The groom is a graduate
of Cooper High School class
of 2002 and a 2008 graduate
of Paris Junior College
Radiology Technologist
School and is currently
employed by Open Imaging
Center in Rockwall, Texas.
The newlyweds departed
from the reception to an
array of bubbles. Following a
honeymoon to Destin, Florida,
the couple will reside in
Greenville, Texas.
Thanks to all of our friends
and family who helped us
make this happy celebration a
day to treasure and remember.
Rehearsal Dinner
A rehearsal dinner at the
Cooper First Baptist Church
Fellowship Hall was hosted by
Jerry and Mitzy Stout, parents
of the groom. The occasion
was catered by Charlie and
Cynthia Steward. They are
owners of the Lunch Box in
Cooper, Texas.
Parties and Showers
Preceding the wedding, a
number of parties and showers
were held for the couple.
A gift tea was given Sunday,
May 2nd at the home of
Lyn Alley. Other hostesses
besides Mrs. Alley were
Judy Bettes, Barbara Colvin,
Judy Carrington, Kathie
Conley, Margaret Eudy, Betty
Holcomb, Gloria Matthews,
Jennie Pickering, SaraPittman,
Martha Randle, Kris Shaw,
Diane Stegall, Kelley Trapp,
and Alice Wheat.
A bridal luncheon shower
was given by the brides’
co-workers at Texas A&M
University-Commerce.
Hostesses were Veta Dawson,
Stacey Preas, Ginger Bostick,
and Charlie Turner.
A personal shower was
given at the home of Kristy
Davidson, sister of the bride.
Hostesses were bridesmaids,
Shanna Marshall, Julie Silman,
and Amber Steward.

COUNTY OF DELTA
TEXAS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
The County of Delta is giving notice of the county’s intent to submit a Disaster Relief Fund application for
a grant from the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program. The grant application request is
for up to $100,000 for road repairs as a result of the floods of October 2009. The application is available
for review at the County Courthouse during regular business hours and will be submitted to the Texas
Department of Rural Affairs.
FEDERAL LIFELINE NOTICE
