Seeds from the Sower
By Michael A. Guido
A man was wheeled into the operating
room. Everything was in readiness for his
surgery.
Just as the surgeon was about to make
the incision, he noticed a paper taped to the
patient’s body. Bending over, he read one
word: “Think.”
That is good advice for all of us.
But someone has said, “Five percent of the
people think, ten percent think they think, and
the rest would rather die than think.”
Thoughts are powerful. Businesses, cities,
nations, and destinies follow them.
That’s why the Psalmist said to the Lord,
“I thought about the wrong direction in which
I was headed, and turned around and came
running back to You.”

Bulldog:
By Chris Gall
Sportswriter
Football season is back and
the Cooper Bulldogs are off
to a great start winning big in
their first game of the season
against the Honey Grove
Warriors 43-18. The Bulldogs
were off to a slow start on
offense in the first quarter
going three and out, having to
punt on their first possession.
Honey Grove quickly made
it down the field within the
Bulldogs 10-yard line but
two plays later Dan Beeler,
with a nice defensive play,
intercepted the ball in the end
zone for a touchback. Ty Huie
later threw an interception as
well giving the ball back to
Honey Grove just before the
end of the first quarter.
Early in the second quarter
the Bulldogs stopped the
Warriors on 4th down and
regain possession on their
own 21-yard line. However,
the offense was still struggling
to get things going and had to
punt a few plays later. Great
defense kept the Bulldogs
alive when later in the second
quarter, they stepped up again
and stopped Honey Grove
on 4th and inches and took
over at midfield. After a
holding penalty that negated
a touchdown from Ty Huie,
and put the Bulldogs back
ten yards, Huie decided to
launch one deep down field
to Colton Williams who
made a great catch, juked
a defender and into the end
zone for a 65-yard catch and
run putting the Bulldogs on
the board first. Dan Beeler
booted in the extra point and
the Bulldogs led 7-0. Honey
Grove would strike back with
a 12-yard touchdown pass late
in the second quarter, Honey
Grove missed the extra point
