The Ed and Gina Davis fam-
ily have five children ages three
to 17. The youngest Ayden, was
bom with cat’s eye syndrome,
heart, kidney, intestine and liver
conditions. He is legally blind
and wears two hearing aids.
Ayden has had 18 surgeries
which prevents his mom form
working. Ed is a full time student
at TSTC using his GI Bill and
receives unemployment. He was
medically discharged from the
Army due to his son’s medical
condition.
Ay din is often hospitalized
at Scott and White in Temple, or
sometimes at Children’s Hospital
in Dallas. Although his medical
bills are paid by Medicaid, an
economic strain has been placed
on this family due to the extra ex-
penses related to these hospital-
izations and medical conditions.
The family moved to Waco
in November 2011 and are mem-
bers of the Church of the Open
Door.
