Hello, This is Frannie and Zoe. They are both
spayed females about 1 year old. They love
each other and would like to have a home to-
gether. They are up to date on all their shots.
They are shy at first and take a little time to get use
to their new surroundings. Inside only. Come visit us
and our friends at the Crowley Animal Rescue Shel-
ter at 101 E Hampton or call 817-297-2201 x3300.

GHI Car Recall
General Motors has recalled 1.6 million
compact cars sold from 2003-2007
because faulty ignition switches can
shut off the engine and electrical power
while driving, disabling power-assist
steering, brakes and front seat air bags.
Deaths and serious injuries may have
been caused by these defects. If you or
someone you love was killed or seriously
injured, call us for professional insight.

ROXAY ANN SANDERS
Crowley -- Roxay Ann
Sanders, our loving mother,
grandmother, and cherished
friend, walked into the gates
of Heaven Monday, April 28,
2014.
Services are 10 a.m. Thurs-
day, May 1, 2014, in Skyvue
Victoria Chapel. Visitation
was 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday,
April 30, 2014, at Skyvue
Funeral Home.
She was born to Norman
and Kenny Sanders on Jan.
28,1945, in Robstown, Texas.
Roxay grew up on the North
Side of Fort Worth, where she
met her husband, Franklin
D. Sladovnik. Together, they
brought two wonderful chil-
dren, Tammie and Jeff, into
the world. After Frank’s pass-
ing in 1966, Roxay met and
married Gary C. Brooks. To
this union, Nancie was born.
Roxay and Gary moved to
Crowley in 1973 and raised
their family. Their home
became the gathering place
where many nights were
filled with laughter and last-
ing friendships.
A devout Christian, Roxay
raised her children to love
one another. She taught
them the importance of fam-
ily, salvation, respect, man-
ners, domestic skills and
compassion for others. Rox-
ay had the greenest thumb,
loved the beauty that God
created, and made her home
reflect His creation. She took
every opportunity to share
her faith; always taking the
time to spread the word of
God. Due to her warmth,
compassion and witty sense
of humor, making friends
came very easy.
In the most recent years,
Roxay moved her home to St.
Francis Village, where she
spent most of her time tend-
ing to her garden giving her
a sense of inner peace and
serenity through the end of
her earthly walk.
Roxay is preceded in death
by her father and mother;
brother; Roger Sanders; and
husband, Frank.
Survivors include her chil-
dren, Tammie Sladovnik
Lasater and husband, Rick,
Jeffrey F. Sladovnik, Nancie
Brooks Poe and husband,
Jay; dad of her children,
Gary Brooks; 10 grand-
children, two great-grand-
daughters; siblings, Norman
(Billie) Sanders and Carole
(Troy) Selsor; many nieces
and nephews.
