p.m. This is the first of the Col-
lege Fine Arts Series for the
school year 1964-65.
No name in the field of jazz
is any more familiar than that
of Woody Herman. Since the’30s,
when the “big band” and “swing”
were the new fashion, the Woody
Herman Band has been second to
none. A list of his great record-
ings reads like a list of all-time
"hits.
Admission to the Cavalcade of
Sound is $1.50 for adults, 75 cents
for students, with Odessa College
students admitted on their ac-
tivity cards.
