Hondo Anvil Herald, Friday, May 26, 1967
FflO COUNTY
WHAT MEDINA COUNTY DOES when it rains is exactly what they do in
most places, let it rain. The Taylor-Chapman Service prepared this map for
the Anvil Herald series and it covers the rainfall of May 19-20. The Wilson
Ranch, near Yancey, and the Hartley Howard Ranch, near Devine, reported
very light rains. Maize and broomcorn crops received a needed boost and
pasture grass was given a new lease on life which was off to a good start from
earlier rains. Light hail fell west of Rancho Chico and on the Harlan Wolff
place but no serious damage was inflicted.
