side of Cache, Okh. have ar-
rived for a visit with relatives
and friends in Timpson, Lane-
ville, and other points. Here,
they will visit the families of Dr.
Whiteside’s brothers, Mr. and
Mrs. F. M. Whiteside, Mr. and
Mrs. Pierce Whiteside, Mr.
and Mrs. Troy Whiteside, Mr.
and Mrs. E. B. Whiteside, Sr.,
and sister, Mrs. Will Hardage.
He is a former citizen of Timp-
son and is now serving as phy-
sician for Camp No. 870, Civil-
ian Conservation Corps, near
Cache, Okla.
Miss Jane Craig of Shreve-
port, spent last week-end visit-
ing her parents, Mr. and Mis.
J. N. Craig of this city.
Miss Mary Catherine Bus-
sey, returned to Galveston Sun-
day after a short visit with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. R.
Bussey of this city. The young
lady has a position in the John
Sealy Library during the sum-
mer months.

and children of Norphlet, Ark.,
have arrived for a severs, days
visit with the family of Mr.
Reeves’s sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Bob Adams. Mrs. K. H. Bid
man and Miss Winnie Lee
Reeves, sist.is of Mr. Reeves,
who had been visiting in
ITorphlet, returned with them.,
Mr. Reeves, emoloyed with the
Gulf Company for the past 19
years, is enjoying Lis annual
vacation in company with his
family. Each year his vaca-
tion includes a visit with rela-
tives and friends in Timpson,
and with Mrs. Reeves’ parents,
Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Latham at
Jefferson.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Haden
of Houston, are visiting the
lady’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.
J. McIntyre and other Timp-
son relatives and friends.
Mrs. D. A. McClung has re-
turned from a visit of several
days with friends and relatives
at Beaumont.

Kenneth Crausby has return-
ed from an extended visit with
Mr. and Mrs. K. H. Francis at
Tuscaloosa, Ala., and with
other relatives in Mississippi.
He was accompanied home by
his aunt, Miss Fannye Lee
Francis of Shreveport, who has
also been visiting with rela-
tives in Tuscaloosa and Missis-
sippi. Miss Francis will be in
Timpson several days for a
visit with her sister, Mrs. H. A.
Crausby.
Mrs. D. H. Mitchell of Luf-
kin, Mrs. Abb Ross, Mrs. Jen-
nie Mitchell, Mrs. Minnie D.
Bowlin, Mrs. N. Kyle of this
community, and Mr. and Mrs.
Acie Elsberry of Marshall,
I were guests in the home of
Rev. and Mrs. D. J. Collins one
day last week. Mrs. Collins
and Mrs. Kyle are sisters.
Mr. and Mre. O’Neal Shep-
herd of the Huber community,
are the happy parents of a
sweet baby girl, boro Thurs-
day night.
Alfred Miller Steadley of
Oklahoma City, came in Sun-
day for a week’s visit with his
parents, Mr. and Mre. F. A.
Steadley of this city.

mother, Mrs. R. G. Kristenaen,
of this city, and grandparents,
Mr. and Mre. W. J. Goodwin,
Master Gene Goodwin of Port
Arthur, has returned to his
home. The young man return-
ed Wednesday, accompanied
by Mre. Kristenaen and daugh-
ter, Delores, who made a short
visit in Port Arthur.
Misses Jeannice Davison
and Maurice Davison of Bly-
the, California, have arrived
for a visit with the family of
their uncle and aunt, Mr. and
Mre. J. J. Futrell.
Mrs. Danne W. Langhome
and Mre. Tom Langhome,
made a short visit in Logans-
port today.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown Booth
and baby daughter, of Austin,
left yesterday for points of in-
terest to continue their vaca-
tion. They came in last week
