were in Timpson for a brief
time Saturday. They are en-
joying a short vacation and
were en route from a visit with
Mrs. Claunch'8 parents, Mr.
and Mrs. C. Woodard, at Cor-
rigan, to Columbia, La., where
they will spend several days
with the gentleman’s parents,
Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Claunch.

odist University.
Mrs. H. C. Meador left Sat-
urday for Cleveland where she
will join her son and wife, Mir.
and Mrs. Cortez Meador on a
trip to San Antonio, Carlsbad
Cavern and other points of in-
terest.
Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Allen of
Tatum, were the guest* of Mr.
and Mrs. G. D. Pruitt Sunday.
Mrs. Alien is a sister of Mrs.
Pruitt and Mr. Allen is super-
intendent of the Tatum
schools.
Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Smith
spent a few hours in Carthage
Sunday, and from that city
went to Dallas whore Mr.
Smith visited Baylor hospital
for consultation with physi-
cians where he recently under-
went an operation.
Mr. and Mis. F. R. Bussey
left Sunday morning for a vis-
it with their son and wife, Mr.
and Mrs. Dan Busaey of Aus-
tin.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe McClellan
returned Saturday from
Shreveport, where they visited
with the family of their son,
Mr. and Mrs. A. L. MeClellan.
Mrs. H. L. McDowell and
daughter, Miss Brooksie, have
returned from a pleasant visit
with Dr. and Mrs. L. T. Tinkle
of Lufkin.
