Savings Bonds Sales
Total $8,063 in Shelby
During November
Savings Bonds sales in Shel-
by county were $8,063 during
November. Purchases for the
first eleven months of 1960 to-
taled $184,789 or 46.5 per
cent of the yearly goal, Charles
H. Sate, chairman of the Shel-
by County Savings Bonds com-
mittee said today.
E and H 1960 sales in Tex-
as amounted to $189,282,903.
This represents 84.2 per cent
of the Texas 1960 goal of
$165.6 million.
According to William H.
Neal, National director of the
Treasury Bond Program, “No-
vember marked the eleventh
consecutive month in which
Savings Bonds program has
shown growth. We are espe-
cially encouraged by the con-
tinued downward growth in re-
demptions, a major factor con-
tributing to this sustained
growth," Neal concluded.
