mouth, Va., for a stay with her

Sock, Ark. His vision has been
impaired for a number of
years, bnt his friends will be
glad to know that it is now
greatly improved. Mr. Ham-
mer in his words of greeting
to his mother, says in part: “I
have been able to see and
write a little since March IS."

One year ago the firm of
Phelps & Metteauer, local Fri-
gidsire and Appliance dealers,
opened for business in Timp-
son ou South First street.
This week the firm is cele-
brating its first anniversary by
opening for basin ess in a new
location—the Taylor building
on Plaza street. Leon Met-
teauer, .manager and part
owner of the concern has been
busy moving and arranging
the stock for the past several
days. To mark the first anni-
versary new merchandise has
been placed upon display, and
exceptional values await cus-

Special Assistant United States

Fraud Prosecutions 1920 to
1925. Was a partner in law
firm of Vinson, Elkins Weems,
and Francis, 1926 tc 1942. Had
wide and highly successful ex-
sweetheart roses. Miss Mane
Clotiaux, a friend of the bride,
served as maid of honor, and
Mr. J. A. Deen, Jr. of Orange,
served as best man.
The wedding was solemn-
ized at 7. o’clock in the evening
with only a few close friends
attending.
A reception was held at the
home of Mrs. Stella Hilliard at
635 Magazine. The living
room was very attractively
decorated, carrying out the
theme of spring.
Miss Ouida Brooks and
Birdie Ruth Peterson presid-
ed over the'punch bowl.

Metz in Octgber, 1944. Active-
ly participated in reopening

at Frankfort from July to Oc-
tober 1945. Returned home

citing memberships in the
Community Concerts Associa-
tion, Nacogdoches. Member-
ships which are $6 for adults
and J3.00 for students, entitle
the holders to attend any and
all concerts of community con-
certs in Nacogdoches and oth-
er cities and towns. . Artists
for the concerts are to be se-
lected by a committee on the
basis of the number .of mem-
berships obtained.
