Miss Sandy Shaw, a spring
graduate of Lufkin senior high
school, was honored May 11 at
the Fredonia Hotel with a
swimming party and hambur-
ger supper.
Hostesses lor the occasion
were Mesdaaes J. N. Craig
and E. H. Hebert and Miss
Martha Wigtey of Lufkin. Mrs.
D. A. McClung assisted the
hostesses.
The table on which the
guests were served by the pool
was centered with a "wish-
bone tree” carrying out the

Mrs. Beid H Bunger, ac-

Brenda Hogue, left recently
for Fort Worth where they
will visit Mns. R, H. Bunger,
and other relatives. Mrs. Beid
H. Bunger wii] be remembered
as the former Miss Bette Bo-
gue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Joe A. Bogus. Her husband Lt.
Bunger ia stationed with t. S.
forces In Germany and she has
been in that country with her
husband, returning to the
states May 3rd. Lt. Bunger
plans to return to Fort Worth
in August where he will make
his home, teaching science in a
Fort Worth school.
Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Hebert
returned Tuesday from a visit
with their children, Mr. and
Mrs. N. V:Bartlfy of Nash-
ville, Tenn, Mrs. Bartley is
teaching in one of .the Nash
ville schools while Mr. Bartley
is working on hb Ph.D. at Van-
derbilt. The Heberts also visit-
ed in Fredericksburg and Wil-
liamsburg, Virginia. At Spar-
tanburg, S. Carolina they visit-
ed Mrs. Gilbert Smith and
daughter Betsy, former Thnp-
son citizens.
Mrs. Francis Blair of Union,
S. Carolina, is here visiting her
relatives, Mr. and Mrs. T. J.
Moltoy.
Mrs. Weeks Crawford re-
turned last week from a visit
in Lake Charles, La. with her
sister, Mrs. Bill Lyford and
Mr. Lyford. Enroute home she
visited in Orange with Mrs.
Fred Roberts and also in
Bridge City with relatives.
